I have a few grays that started showing and I don’t want to start changing my color now. The color comes with an applicator brush which is great to target just what I need instead of doing my full hair and it blends well with the rest of my natural color. It lasts a few shampoos and covers the grays. It makes the hair shiny and soft, like a conditioner and a color at the same time.

Application:

-Wash hair with a silicone-free shampoo such as the Brightening Shampoo with Camomile and Cornflower, the Purifying Shampoo with Jujube Bark Extract or Hydrating Shampoo with Aloe Vera to prep the hair. Do not use any hair masks or conditioners.
-On towel-dried hair, apply the color gel. If covering only a few grays, use the applicator brush for a targeted and natural result. Otherwise, apply it evenly throughout the hair.
-Leave on for 40 minutes.
-To rinse, add a small amount of water, then emulsify by massaging the scalp to help remove excess product. Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear. Do not wash your hair after rinsing.
-The temporary color gel can be used as often as needed. The reusable kit is suitable for two applications for mid-length hair, or several applications for touch-ups.
-Tip: while using the color gel on the roots or targeted grays, you can apply a mask on your lengths and ends during the leave-in time.

Precautions:
-Avoid applying too much product to the scalp in order to prevent stains.
-Avoid contact with eyes.
-Perform a patch test 48 hours before using, even if you have already used coloring products before.

It has a delicate slightly powdery fragrance leaves a subtle scent on the skin. It can also be used to repair and style very dry, damaged or frizzy hair. I like to use it as an intensive treatment before washing, or as a styling product after washing, in very very small amounts on my dry and frizzy hair. It has been a really nice addition to my haircare routine for its nourishing and protective ingredients, I feel my hair are soft, shiny, and strong. It does not leave any greasiness or oiliness, it is very light, the key is the amount of the product you use. For my medium wavy hair, one pump on the mid-lengths and ends is sufficient. I would like to mention how nice the spray pump it and how light the texture of the oil is, not thick. It is very easy to spread on the hair and skin.

As you might be curious, if you have not read my post on the Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask with Rare Prickly Pear Oil here, Prickly pear seed oil is a rare ingredient with natural regenerating properties and has antioxidants. Fluer Inula in the oil protects, revives the hair pigments, whether they are natural or colored. It has toning and protective action on the skin too. Christophe Robin Purifying Hair Finish Lotion with Sage Vinegar is a leave-in mist. It is formulated without parabens, silicones, ammonia, oxidants, colorants or sodium laureth sulfate. This is something my itchy flaky scalp is really finding helpful, my scalp is soothed, calm, and nourished. It is very lightweight and absorbs into the scalp and skin without leaving an oily residue. I use it as I feel the need, first after washing my hair and towel drying them, I spray twice or thrice from roots to tips. On dry hair, the second day after my shampoo (I wash my hair every two days), I use it as a refresher. On the body, it works to refresh, tone, and soften the skin. I do use it in combination with my body oil or body lotion, as I have very dry skin on the body.

I was traveling last month and did take my staples, Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt and Cleansing Volumizing Paste with Pure Rassoul Clay and Rose Extracts, with me for my vacation. The travel sizes are a great way to try the products and to travel with them. Another new product I took with me was Shade Variation Care Nutritive Mask with Temporary Coloring which is a nourishing and color revival mask for anyone looking to add warmth in natural or color-treated hair. Colored chestnut hair goes brown over time and begins to look unnatural, while natural chestnut hair is often dull or ashy. Enriched with nourishing ingredients—almond butter and buriti oil—and combined with an acidic pH of 4.5, this mask in Warm Chestnut mini minimizes porosity, hydrates hair, fixes natural oxidation, and evenly distributes color. Cocoa butter and the selection of pigments enhance a caramelized hue and create a rich chestnut color throughout the hair.

The Baby Blonde mini is a purple treatment mask that neutralizes brassy or yellow tones for light blonde hair. Highlighted, colored, or bleached blonde hair tends to become grey or yellow over time, while natural blonde hair can become dull and lack shine. The nourishing ingredients in this tinting hair mask—almond butter, shea butter, and buriti oil—combined with an acidic pH of 4.5 help minimize porosity, fix natural oxidation, and evenly distribute color. The selection of iridescent pigments and Fiorentina iris neutralizes brassy or yellow tones, restoring the shine, brightness, and contrast of hair color.

The longer you leave this mask on, the more intense your results will be. Feel free to mix with other shade variation masks to create your own custom color nuance.
