Okay guys, as asked by many of you about what I bought from the spring Sephora sale and promotions, I have the roundup of my haul below. I have purchased some new products and some products are repurchases. I usually stock up on my favorite body care products and then I have my skincare favorites. For most of the other things, I have been avoiding to buy keeping in mind the number of products I have been testing and do not want to have their shelf life over before I get to use them. Few products I ordered last week during the Sephora VIB Rouge exclusive days and they reached me last Monday. Other things I went to the store to pick up. I have divided the post into four sections and due to the nature of the last minute post request, I have tried to click the pictures as clear as I could.
For skincare, I am very choosy in my cleansers and have been wanting to try something specifically for my congestion and hormonal acne that flares up few times in a month and leaves those marks for many more months to come. I have used Kate Somerville Exfolikate cleanser and now bought the Kate Somerville Eradikate Cleanser along with the Kate Somerville Eradikate Solution. I opened these both products last week the same day I got it, I have been using them every day and like them both. I will review them in detail in my upcoming posts. Another cleanser I was eyeing since last few months was from La Mer, I bought the La Mer Cleansing Foam for the summers and I have high hopes for it. Perricone Md Nutritive cleanser is a repurchase, I really like it, never dries me out but makes my skin clean and fresh. Another product from Perricone Md I bought is the Perricone Md Chloro Plasma, it is everything you need for detoxifying, cleansing, anti-aging, and what not. I will keep you guys posted on how I like it. Tatcha Lip balm was also on the wishlist for a long time, finally splurged.
For Bodycare, there are mostly the repurchases. Loccitane has been my go-to brand for the body products for many years. I purchased my backups for Loccitane Shower Oil with Almond Oil, Loccitane Lavender Shower Gel, Verbena Body Lotion, Loccitane foot cream for dry skin, Loccitane hand cream for dry feet. Kopari coconut melt is a favorite of mine, for myself and also for my kids, it is so gentle and so hydrating. Fresh Brown Sugar Body polish is a repurchase for the coming season, I need all the exfoliation and glowing skin for the spring and summer dresses.
For haircare, I have loved the Drybar The Chaser Shine Cream I purchased last year during the Sephora sale. I wanted to try more from the brand, so got this Drybar Hot Toddy heat and UV protectant for hair. Olaplex has been on all social media and magazines, I had to buy this one, as my hair needs some extra care as they are dull, damaged, falling and I am getting aged obviously. Bumble and Bumble tonic lotion have been in my stash since some time, wanted to buy the invisible oil but I suspect it would be heavy for my medium hair, so got this Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible OilHeatt/UV protecting primer.
For makeup, I really controlled myself into not overspending as there are many products which I am testing and some which I purchased during the last sale and didn’t get a chance to use. I got my backup of the Tatcha Luminous dewy mist, Tatcha blotting papers, Beauty Blender. Bobbi Brown foundation stick is a cult favorite, so I wanted to try it since last year. Marc Jacobs Omega Bronzer I bought last year but I gifted it to a friend, so got one for myself now. I have not tried anything from Agave yet, so got the lip kit which has deluxe sizes of lip balm, lip scrub to try out the brand.
Two more things I bought are from Surratt Beauty which I am most excited for, the brushes. I did not click the picture as I opened them last week and they were in my brush case. I will click the pictures and post on my Instagram in this week. I will keep you guys posted on the products which I have not reviewed on the blog before, whether they are repurchases or first time buys.
I tried to give you a quick round-up of the products I purchased from Sephora this month. Did you buy something from the Sephora sale or are you planning to? Which products from my Sephora sale would you like to hear about first or want me to review first?
Givenchy Les Saisons 2018 African Light
Givenchy Les Saisons collection, this season, brings the heat just in time for summer with African Light, a collection all about radiance. In true couture form, with this Les Saisons summer collection, there are new innovative textures and sophisticated colors with a strong influence from their couture fashion house. Les Saisons 2018 African Light Collection has five products including the Bouncy Highlighter – African Light Gold, Prisme Blush – African Earth, Khol Couture No 8 – African Bronze, Rouge Interdit Vinyl No 17 African Copper, and Rouge Interdit Vinyl No. 18 African Raspberry. I am reviewing the Bouncy Highlighter which is the star of the collection in this post.
Givenchy Bouncy Highlighter – African Light Gold
Givenchy Bouncy Highlighter – African Light Gold (CAD $49) is a limited edition jelly highlighter. It is the prettiest highlighter I have seen, the couture design embossing is just so beautiful and delicate. The highlighter has a cooling effect jelly with bouncy texture and leaves a golden shimmer finish. The formula is infused with gold glitter and has a supple gel to cream texture. It blends in easily into the skin, giving the beautiful shimmering glow that reflects light. It does not leave any veil or any powdery finish, the jelly texture is one of the softest and creamiest I have tried, and the bounce effect is absolutely there. I would have never wanted to touch it but just keep looking at it, but then I have to had the swatches and then test it before writing this review.
The formula has some nice ingredients with skincare benefits, namely coconut milk, macadamia nut oil, and natural honey extract, that means there are hydration, antioxidants and protection, no doubt why it just melts into the skin. I use my finger to apply it to the high points of the face and it applies nicely, one gentle swipe gives me the beautiful natural golden glow. And just to mention that the lid needs to be closed after use so as to avoid it getting dry.
It has become an absolute favorite, the only thing I am afraid of is damaging the intricate pattern and embossing every time I glide my finger on this buttery highlighter.

Press samples, Givenchy Bronzer Brush is purchased by me
Charlotte Tilbury has some really amazing products, I have reviewed many in the past (I will link them in the post) and with every new launch, there is a new excitement and rush to try the product. With each new launch, my expectations from the brand have always risen, I do not think there is anything from the brand which I have tried and not liked. The newest launch from Charlotte Tilbury is the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter which I will be reviewing in this post along with my other favorites from the brand.
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter – 5 Tan
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter (CAD $50) is the new Revolutionary product which is a must-have customizable complexion booster with the versatility of a face primer, with the mega-watt glow of a highlighter and the perfecting properties of your favorite digital filter. The ingredients in this product help to soft-focus, illuminate skin and makes lines and pores appear smoother.
It is indeed a very versatile product, I have used it as a makeup base, a foundation, as a highlighter and it has amazed me in every way. As a base or a primer, it gives a radiant glowy finish to any foundation you use over it. As a foundation, it gives a beautiful natural radiant finish with light coverage, perfect no-makeup look, of course with the concealer for my spots. As a highlighter on the high points of the face, it gives the most natural highlight. If I mix this with my foundation or tinted moisturizer, the finish is a beautiful glowy face, which does look naturally flawless and radiant.
For my medium tan skin tone, Shade 5 – neutral caramel suits me perfectly. There are 7 shades available in the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter and as the coverage is light to medium, it can be great for a range of skin tones which match the nearest from the range of 7 shades. The packaging is in a heavyweight glass bottle, and the product is applied by dotting with the foam-tipped wand. The product has been working okay for my combination skin, no breakouts or irritation. Overall a really revolutionary and nice new launch from the brand.
Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow Face Primer
Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow Face Primer (CAD $65) features ingredients to give your complexion an instant pick-me-up to create an effortlessly dewy look. It can be used as a face primer underneath the foundation or on its own for a relaxed dewy look. The packaging is in a nice sturdy plastic case with a pointed opening to dispense the product.
This primer does make the skin radiant and more youthful. I have used it as a primer or mixed it with my foundation, gives a beautiful natural dewy glow to the skin which looks very youthful and fresh. The texture is very smooth and the consistency is creamy, a little more than a pea size is what I use on my face and a part of the neck. I apply it with my fingers and that’s it. I just leave it like that on the no-makeup days and on the other days, follow with my foundation or tinted moisturizer.
It can also be used as a natural highlighter, dotting on the high points of the face and it gives a beautiful glow to the cheek. I have seen with Charlotte Tilbury products that they are all multi-use products, and they all tend to make you look radiant and youthful. My skin does not looks or feel oily after application or even at the end of the day, it looks glowy and dewy all day. The other makeup products stay on well over this primer, no rolling off. It did not give me any breakouts or any irritation.
Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blusher – Love is the Drug
Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blusher (CAD $50) has a creamy, color-rich texture in a cool shimmering pink to create an ultra-flattering makeup look. The blush is really beautiful, the texture is so creamy that it melts into the skin. The blendability is just amazing, love the way it just disappears into the skin and gives beautiful natural flush to the cheeks. The complexion looks healthy and luminous. The formula is very pigmented and gives a nice color payoff. The shade ‘Love is the Drug’ is beautiful bright pink, as I mentioned it is pigmented, so a little will be enough, means the blush will go a long way. On my medium tan skin ton, I just swipe and tap a little, gives me a nice rosy pinkish healthy glow.
To use this blusher,
‘1. SWISH your brush around the outer shade & tap off excess. Run the brush flat, up the cheekbone starting from the apples of your cheek, to structure your face.
2. POP the shade by taking the pointy end of the brush, dip it in the centre colour & tap off the excess. Apply to the apples of your cheeks, blending seamlessly to make them pop & glow.’
Charlotte Tilbury Beach Stick – Moon Beach
Charlotte Tilbury Beach Stick (CAD $48) is a Lip To Cheek Dewy Colour Pop which has luminous, rose-gold iridescent peach shade inspired by the mesmerizing light of Moon Beach. It is inspired by the unique lighting, golden sands & bronzed goddesses of Ibiza. To use it, simply twist up color & apply straight from the bullet, blending with your fingers for a youthful, fresh look of year-round summer.
The formula is really good, easy to apply and blends in nicely into the skin. It is perfect for on the go or for the next vacation you are planning. It gives a beautiful rose-gold iridescent glow to the skin with a hint of peach. It would be a great highlighter too. I am thinking of the beach and then this beach stick, the sand, the sun and the gorgeous glow with this.
There is a slight shimmer, so it is definitely not for work or everyday wear but perfect to travel with on a vacation or a night out. It will be great for the weekend, a dot on the cheek and blend with the finger, gives a beautiful glow. The shade Moon Beach is a nice shade for my medium tan skin tone can be used as a highlighter as well as a blush, more of a highlighter as I did not notice much color payoff to the cheeks, a little unnoticeable hint, and rest is the glow.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish – 3 Dark
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish (CAD $58) is a face powder which features ingredients to prevent excess shine and brighten complexions. It can be used in the oily areas to make them matte or on the whole face to set the makeup or for more coverage. The powder gives a nice soft blur, giving that airbrush finish to the makeup. The powder is very finely milled, and very smooth. It blends in nicely and does not gives that powdery look or feel. I use it either to set my makeup or for retouching when I have to freshen up my makeup. It does not give a full matte finish but good enough to look bright and not shiny keeps the glow intact which I prefer. The dark shade is not as dark as I expected before I saw this in person, it is a medium shade to me and works perfectly to set the makeup. The makeup does not look cakey.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow – Medium to Dark
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow (CAD $80) is a perfect lightweight, buildable, blendable formula to create a well-contoured face. The Medium to Dark shade is perfect for my medium tan skin tone. The powder is like serious cream, it is so soft and melts into the skin so nicely. The lighter shade is the highlighter and the darker shade is the bronzer. The shades are beautiful and look so nice once applied, the formula is buildable yet looks very natural. The bronzer I feel is a bit dark for me, so a little swipe is all I need and it works for me, It is not orangey on the skin. The highlighter gives a beautiful glow to the cheeks, a little swipe into the product is all I need. The packaging is very beautiful, as is of all the Charlotte Tilbury Products.
To use Filmstar Bronze & Glow,
1. Apply the ‘Sculpt’ shade to the areas you want to define, the hollows of your cheeks, the temples, jawline, the sides and tip of your nose. Never forget to blend-blend-blend!
2. Apply the ‘Highlight’ shade on top of your cheekbones, down the centre of your nose, your lip’s cupid bow and the brow bone for a candlelit complexion.
Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette – Smokey Eye Beauty

There are 7 shades to create a sexy, sculpted look and the ultimate classic smokey eye in this all-in-one makeup palette. This iconic palette is perfect for a wearable, gorgeous day look that is easily amped-up to a dazzling date night look. It is a gorgeous neutral palette for a daytime makeup look to dial up for date night with a deeply-defining, smoldering black shade. The intense black shade can be used to define the eyes for an instant smokey eye. The beautiful highlighter shade is the iconic Bar of Gold highlight to add gilded gold shimmer to your cheekbones. The formula is very fine and smooth, blends in easily into the skin. It is perfect for sophisticated or glamorous yet natural look. The whole shade range is exquisite, but the blushes blend and balance for enviable cheekbones. ‘Swish’ is very pale pinky-peach and with the deeper ‘Pop’, both will suit all skin tones. This palette alone is a great way to transform from the office look to a party or night out look. And as it is travel-friendly, you can have it in the bag and you are good to go for all the occasions and events. Keep in mind to keep it in a pouch or something soft to not break the inner product, as It did happen to me in the past.

1. For a subtle daytime makeup look, start by applying the Eye Prime shade all over your lid for long-lasting application using the Eye Blender Brush.
2. Then use the Eye Enhance shade along your eyelid for added dreamy dimension!
