Drunk Elephant has some amazing products which I have been a big fan of all the products I have tried from them, they have worked very well for my skin. I have emptied a few bottles of their C-Firma Day Serum, Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser, and the T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask – which are staples in my skincare routine. I have linked the posts here if you are interested to read more. So, this definitely came as a wish come true when I came to know that Drunk Elephant is launched body care and hair care range. The packaging is the first thing you notice about the launches, it is so unique – with pastel colours and some interesting shapes.
There are 7 new products that have launched and now are part of the Drunk Elephant body care and hair care range. The new additions include four core hair products — Cocomino Glossing Shampoo, Cocomino Marula Cream Conditioner, Wild Marula Tangle Spray, and T.L.C. Happi Scalp Scrub while the three body-care products are Kamili Cream Body Cleanser, Sweet Pitti Deodorant Cream, and Sili Body Lotion. Same as the skincare range from the brand, the hair and body care range is based on the same principles to use skin-loving ingredients that are nourishing as well as without any sensitizing ingredients. Tiffany Masterson, the creator of Drunk Elephant, along with Chris McMillan, longtime Hollywood hairstylist and Masterson’s childhood friend, helped her test and develop the line.
For the haircare launches, the products not only target the hair but also the scalp, which means they are formulated keeping in mind the health of the scalp along with the hair.
Cocomino Glossing Shampoo is a gentle, creamy foaming shampoo that cleanses the hair as well as scalp without being harsh or stripping on the hair and scalp. My hair and scalp feel shiny, soft, nourished, and comfortable while using this shampoo without irritation. The shampoo smells amazing and is a lovely experience. The shampoo is free of sulfates, silicones, essential oils, fragrance, dyes and drying alcohols. The coconut-based cleansers and shine-boosting amino acids do work to keep the hair and scalp comfortable and nourished.
Cocomino Marula Cream Conditioner is a beautiful blend of lovely ingredients to keep hair soft, shiny, and nourished, without being too heavy or greasy for the hair. It is safe even on the scalp due to its acidic pH value of 3.6 and does not cause any buildup. My hair definitely feels healthier and soft.
Wild Marula Tangle Spray is a very fine and weightless leave-in mist for hair that detangles and smooths to keep hair manageable and imparts shine without weighing hair down. Along with providing nourishment, it also provides heat protection. It can be used on damp hair after washing or dry hair before styling. It is not sticky or greasy on the hair with a pH value of 4.5. I spray it on the mid-length till the ends. And I love the smell of this spray, very refreshing.
T.L.C. Happi Scalp Scrub is a scrub for the scalp to keep the hair and scalp healthy and nourished. The formula is a blend of AHA/BHA acid to break down and dissolve dead skin cells and styling product buildup while biodegradable and perfectly gentle plant cellulose exfoliating beads sweep them away. It helps the scalp stay flake-free, balanced, and nourished at the same time. It has become a very nice addition to my weekly hair care ritual.
Kamili Cream Body Cleanser is a gentle cleanser for the body that does not dry the skin and does not irritate even my sensitive dry skin. It keeps the skin comfortable and is soothing to my dry skin. Sili Body Lotion is a blend of nourishing ingredients to lock in hydration while restoring the moisture and keep the skin balanced. I have been using this body lotion for some time now and it keeps my skin nourished and soft for a full day without having to reapply during the day. It has a subtle scent and feels very light on the skin.
Sweet Pitti Deodorant Cream is a new innovative deodorant – all-natural – and free of baking soda, essential oils and aluminum-derived ingredients. The formula is soothing on the delicate under-arm skin and it is moisturizing while keeping the odour away. I am really loving this new deodorant in my everyday routine, it has not even failed me during my workout routine. It does not leaves any stains on the clothes and is not sticky. It does not irritate my underarm area. The packaging and the way the product comes out is pretty cool – a little different way to apply it though.
I am so glad to be using these products from Drunk Elephant. The brand is totally worth all the hype. I am so looking forward to keeping these products on rotation. By Terry Summer 2020 Collection has launched and I am so excited. If you see my posts from previous spring and summer collections for 2018 and 2019, I thought they are the height of perfection in every way and now when I have the Summer 2020 launches with me, I have nothing else to say except ‘it is just amazing’. By Terry Summer 2020 Collection is a limited-edition colour collection while skincare launches are part of permanent Baume de Rose range – The collection includes Brightening CC Palette, Ombre Blackstar Eyeshadow Sticks, Baume de Rose Glowing Mask, Baume de Rose Hydrating Sheet Mask.
Brightening CC Palette in Sunny Flash has brightening powder, cheek highlighter, blush, and bronzer in one palette. The formula is very smooth and blends easily and seamlessly into the skin. The palette is perfect to help with radiance, colour correction, to blur the imperfections or redness, and give a hint of colour to the skin. A light dip into the palette with a kabuki powder brush or the By Terry Dual-Ended Face Brush is all it takes to get the right amount onto the face, the formula is easily buildable to achieve more intensity. The formula is very comfortable on the skin and not drying or irritating at all. The longevity is also another plus.
Per the description on the official website, the four versatile shades in the palette complement all skin tones, minimize imperfections and highlight skin’s natural glow:
N°1 Champagne blush – the illuminating pearl shade highlights high points of complexion.
N°2 Pink petal – the natural tea-rose pink illuminates washed-out, ashy looking skin with healthy pink undertones, also can highlight darker complexions.
N°3 Vibrant rose – the rich ‘just-pinched’ hue lifts and livens cheeks with pink dewy freshness.
N°4 Desert sparkle – the gold-flecked, sandy bronze lightens and evens out darker skin tones or creates a beautiful bronzed finish.
The Brightening CC Palette in Sunny Flash is definitely a must-have.
Ombre Blackstar Cream Eyeshadow Pen is the same best-selling Ombre Blackstar Cream Eyeshadow formula in three limited-edition shades. I have been a long time fan of these cream eyeshadows and have reviewed them in the past. These 3 in 1 Ombre Blackstar Cream Eyeshadows work as eyeliner, illuminator, and eyeshadow. They have a very creamy formula that is pigmented and smudge-free. The longevity is impressive, I can see a little fading by the end of the day when I have worn them for over 10 hours. They feel very light when applied, almost nothing I am wearing nothing on the lids, blends easily, and stay comfortable, even on my delicate eye area.
The three limited-edition shades which are part of the Summer 2020 collection are:
No 20 Immaculate Light – shimmery rose gold
No 21 Rose Elixir – shimmery light pink
No 22 Sunny Flash – shimmery golden bronze
The shimmer in these shades is not frosty or chunky. The shimmer is subtle and I can definitely see me rocking it this summer. The super-easy application with the glide-up pen is another plus if you prefer easy application or you are always on the go.
Baume de Rose Glowing Mask is a nourishing brightening mask that transforms from a gel to creamy airy foam on application resulting in an illuminated, clear, and even-toned complexion. The skin looks bright, supple, and radiant while comfortable at the same time. I have noticed my dark spots and pores looked much better, and no breakouts while using this mask. There was a slight tingle on the skin due to the AHA in this mask that works to decongest and clean the pores. The rose-scent of the mask is very uplifting and relaxing for the senses.
Baume de Rose Hydrating Sheet Mask is a moisturizing sheet mask infused with actual rose petals, suitable for all skin types. The skin looks supple and nourished after using this mask, the added benefit is the relaxing and uplifting scent of the mask. All the hydration gives the perfect glow – comparable to post-facial glow. The sheet mask fits on nicely on the face contours. For my combination skin prone to congestion, I was happy that with all the hydrating and nourishing did not break me out but instead, I am happy with the glowing results.
Overall, the collection and launches are beautiful – perfect for spring-summer. The products are a welcome addition to my beauty routine – highly recommend. Givenchy Couture Edition 2020 Makeup Collection has launched with limited edition Le Rouge Lipstick Couture Edition in shade 306 Carmin Escarpin, Prisme Libre Loose Powder Couture Edition in shade 01 Mousseline Pastel, and limited edition L’Interdit.
Givenchy 2020 limited Couture Edition of Le Rouge is available in a silver case with a black lace pattern, not just a lipstick but a perfect fashion accessory. Lace has been so dear to Givenchy and has inspired the house for a long time including the this latest collection. Le Rouge limited edition for 2020 Couture is shade available in shade 306 Carmin Escarpin which also has a unique engraving paying tribute to Hubert de Givenchy. The formula of the lipstick is the original best-selling and cult-favourite formula which I am a fan of, it is very lightweight and comfortable on the lips. It is very pigmented and has a luminous matte finish. The longevity is another thing I love these lipsticks, the same is the case for this limited edition launch.
Givenchy 2020 limited Couture Edition of Prisme Libre in shade 01 Mousseline Pastel is available in a silver case with a black lace pattern, again not just a powder but a perfect fashion accessory. The signature of the House’s creator, Hubert de Givenchy graces the lid, like a seal of tribute. This innovative, cult product has been a part of my blog posts many times, it has been a staple. The Prisme Libre includes four loose powders with complementary shades in a single case. A 4-in-1 harmony for a flawlessly and lastingly mattified, blurred, luminous complexion. Its incredibly fine and weightless texture offers the skin a sheer, velvety, natural finish.
L’Interdit Edition Couture 2020 is the original Eau de Parfum sublime in a collector bottle dressed up in lace. An exclusive couture interpretation in tribute to Maison’s creations. The floral woody fragrance has the following notes:
Top Notes: Bergamot, Pear
Middle Notes: Orange Blossom, Jasmine, Tuberose
Base Notes: Patchouli, Vetiver, Vanilla, Ambroxan
I know I have shared the Lunar New Year Launches from the house on my Instagram a few times but sharing it here in case you missed my Instagram posts. Givenchy launched limited editions of its cult Prisme Libre loose powder and its iconic Le Rouge lipstick for the fifth year in row. Both products are dressed up in a vintage look inspired by old Givenchy caps: red vinyl leather bearing the golden 4G logo for Prisme Libre, and a red vinyl leather case with golden 4G logos for Le Rouge. Red, the emblematic colour of China’s Spring Festival, recalls joy and happiness. Then there’s gold, a bright and precious hue, the symbol of prosperity.
Givenchy Lunar Year 2020 Le Rouge and Prisme Libre are available in best-seller shades: Prisme Libre No. 5 Satin Blanc combines four complementary
pastel shades for an even, matte and luminous glow on the skin and for the lips, Le Rouge No. 316 Orange Absolu – a bright pop of orange with a velvety finish.
Givenchy also launched a limited edition package of Le Rouge to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year 2020. I would say it is not just to celebrate one day but every day if love. I have had it in my collection, on my vanity since it was launched and every time I see it, it makes my heart happy.
The limited-edition case is decorated with red velvet lips, a pattern which was dear to Hubert de Givenchy and reinterpreted by Clare Waight Keller in the Resort Spring-Summer 2018 Collection. This limited edition highlights the N°333 L’Interdit emblematic shade – an intense and sensual red lipstick with a smooth, creamy formula that enhances the lips while delivering intensely pigmented colour from the first stroke.
Overall, so elegant and beautiful launches from Givenchy – one of the best new launches I always look forward to. I always get inspired by the innovation and the elegance of the house. Givenchy Beauty products are available at Holt Renfrew and Sephora.ca.*Press samples
