Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Collection launched a few months back and I finally tried the liquid lipsticks from the collection. The liquid lipsticks are described as Matte Contour Liquid Lipsticks that contours lips for a fuller, wider Hollywood pout. These matte contouring lipsticks glide like a gloss, set in soft-focus matte and nurture lips like a cream in a light as air full coverage formula. I have tried two shades of these liquid lipsticks and have my views ready on the formula.
The formula of Hollywood lips is creamy like the consistency of a wet mousse. It could be difficult to apply in the starting but once you get the hold of it, it is not a problem. The packaging is nice, the curved foot doe applicator is very smooth when it touches the lips but you have to be careful in defining the lips unless you are using a lip liner. The formula does not dry quickly, for me it took around 10-15 minutes to dry which is an issue for some but the finish is quite okay. The formula has a fragrance which is very subtle but pleasant. After drying, the formula did dry out my lips which I could feel but not much noticeable when looked at. After more than an hour, the color stayed on well but my lips feel dry for which I had to reach for my clear lip balm to make my lips feel comfortable.
There is a nice range of shades in this collection, I have swatched Pin Up Pink and Best Actress for your reference below.
Best Actress – Creamy Nude Brown (Upper)
Pin Up Pink – Shimmery Coral Pink Matte (Lower)
The formula is buildable and does not cakes or cracks on the lips apart from the drying feel as explained above. I found once dry it appears slightly darker then it looks immediately after application. Overall, the shade range is good and it did not make my lips look flat. I did a review and swatches of few of my favorites from the Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick here if you are interested. Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Collection is available at Charlotte Tilbury Canada, Charlotte Tilbury US, Cult Beauty, and Holt Renfrew.
“My eyes are my favorite part of me; not for how they look, but for how they see.”
There are a number of quotes on eyes with different comparisons, words, trying to describe the beauty of complexity which the eyes are and it is amazing to know how different individuals describe them. In any way, no one has ever denied that it all starts with the eyes, whether it is that first look you have on something, the first impression, and that love at first sight. Eyes are a favorite part of me too, it can keep in hundred secrets and can still be the most innocent and pure. For me, eye makeup always used to be the eye khol which my mother always had on. It was the homemade eye khol in India, which then was replaced by the brands she still loves.
And now, as you might have seen me on Instagram, my facial features, I believe can tell you that I have Indian Origin. Eyes are an important part of any face and as they say doorway to what is inside your mind and heart. I love a dark kohl on my lower lashline, off course smudge free and my eyes being sensitive, I am always very careful in choosing the ones which do not irritate my eyes and I stick to those. Then I did my fair amount of experiments on the eyeliner over the upper lashline, and in doing so, I feel that a very thin line on the upper lashline suits me and not the thicker eyeliner. So another point I always keep in mind while choosing the right eyeliner for over my upper lashline is that the liner should be easy to apply with think pointer to facilitate my requirement of think sharp line.
I have been using the Givenchy Khol Couture Waterproof Retractable Eyeliner in 01 Black, 02 Chestnut and Givenchy Liner Couture Precision Felt-Tip Eyeliner in Black. I am very impressed with three of them and in short words, they do fulfill all my requirements I mentioned above.
Givenchy Khol Couture Waterproof Retractable Eyeliner
Givenchy Khol Couture Waterproof Retractable Eyeliner (CAD $31) is described as a waterproof, pigment-rich khol eyeliner enriched with intense color pigments. Its long-wear formula resists humidity and glides seamlessly onto your lids. Its retractable pencil means the application is precise and fast, and its comfortable and smooth texture allows for all-day wear. The array of colors interplay with the seasons to define eyes year round. I have been using both the shades for my dark brown eyes. The formula is very silky and smooth, easily glides on my waterline and does not smudges. It says on well for over 8 hours on my waterline without the need to touch up. I go for the 02 Chestnut for my everyday work wear and on the days I need intense eyes and feel that more traditional vibes, I go for 01 black with is buildable to a very dark black on the waterline. The formula does not irritate my sensitive eyes which are very easily irritated and red. The packaging is good with a retractable bullet of the eyeliner.
Givenchy Liner Couture Precision Felt-Tip Eyeliner
Givenchy Liner Couture Precision Felt-Tip Eyeliner (CAD $39) in Black is described as an elongated, felt-tip eyeliner that draws an ultraprecise line and packs intense pigment density into one smooth stroke. This fast-drying formula is an essential ally for captivating eyes. The versatile formula can create a subtle trace along the lash line or a deep, dramatic line that won’t smudge or flake. The ultraprecise felt tip never gets it wrong. I prefer a very precise thin line and this does the works very well. The color is dark black which is what I prefer most of the days. The formula is easy to apply, the pointer tip is soft yet easy to apply. The liner dries quickly once applied and does not fades or smudges. It stays on well all day for over 8 hours over my oily eyelids. I did read some not so nice reviews about this eyeliner but after using this for over a month, I am impressed by how this has been for my eyes.

I apply few drops of revitalizing oil to damp hair, the texture is non-oily and does not feels greasy or weighs hair down. Just keep in mind few drops are enough, few extra drops may give different results. The hair looks and feel healthy, and shiny.
I use this after bath, warm few drops between the palms of my hands and apply it onto the skin after inhaling the delicious aroma. The skin is nourished and soft, even in the winters.
Overall, I am really liking this oil, the fragrance is very delicious and the oil is worth checking out if you have dry skin or skin that needs some extra care and nourishment or glow. It will be a great top up for the weather as winters usually tend to make the skin look dry and dehydrated. If you checked my recent post about Ideal resource line and Lumiere Essentielle from Darphin, my skin has really enjoyed the products.
