Eau de Givenchy has been reinterpreted to offer a soft and delicate scent called Eau de Givenchy Rosee. The new variation created by the house’s perfumer Francois Demachy is a fresh, musky floral, pastel pink infusion. This spring-like freshness is beautiful, delicate, dewy, and more than just rose. The fragrance captures the isolated moment in the early morning when anything is still possible, a breath of fresh air and freedom.
The fragrance opens with a tangy mandarin note and an osmanthus tea accord, both floral and tinged with apricot. In the heart notes, subtle rose and solar sambac jasmine mingle with the crisp green freshness of water hyacinth, which contrasts with the cocoon-like softness of patchouli and white musk in the base. A powdery cloud, enveloping and revitalizing, finishes off this airy fragrance.
Top Notes – Mandarin Orange, Osmanthus
Middle Notes – Jasmine Sambac, Rose, Water Hyacinth
Base Notes – Patchouli, White Musk
The bottle of this new opus retains the cylinderical shape of the Eau de Givenchy fragrance launched in 2018, with sleek lines and a refined silhouette down to the finest detail – such as the round label stamped with a silver logo. A minimalist elegance highlighted on the case with two soft shades – pure white and petal pink.

There are two new launches from Givenchy Beauty, the packaging alone is so unique and luxurious that I can write a whole post on it. The new launches – Givenchy Disturbia Volume Mascara and Disturbia Liner follows the Givenchy philosophy – ‘Being daring enough to be different. Rules are to be broken. Norms to be defied.’
Givenchy Disturbia Volume Mascara is the new Givenchy mascara, created by Nicolas Degennes, Givenchy Artistic Director for Makeup and Colour, is all you need in the mascara – in both formula and applicator. The mascara is left beautifully curved lashes and amazing volume, does not irritate my sensitive eye area or eyes, does not makes them look and feel heavy. The formula’s prowess is maximized by an unprecedented brush, exclusive to the house, a hollow silicone cylindrical applicator with micro-bristles holds just the right amount of product and applies it precisely and evenly, from the root to the tip. The mascara is packaging in a beautiful and elegant looking red packaging with soft spikes. The mascara works nicely, without shedding or falling, even after 8 hours that I have tested it for the maximum time. I use one coat for my everyday makeup and more when I am heading to an event or get together. The good thing is I keep it in my bag, apply it over my first coat of mascara from the morning and it works great.
In keeping with the red packaging of the Volume Disturbia, new Disturbia Liner is an intense black eyeliner that easily glides onto the eyelids and stays put for an impressive amount of time. The pen applicator allows creating lines with the precision of calligraphy. The extreme black shade can be applied alone or on top of the eye shadow without fading or running. I have been using it every day since last week and it stays put for over 12 hours, my eye shadow fades though but this stays.
Givenchy Disturbia Volume Mascara and Disturbia Liner are available at Sephora, Holt Renfrew (Vancouver, Ogilvy, Calgary, and Yorkdale).*Press samples
New launched Marc Jacobs Beauty Accomplice Concealer & Touch-Up Stick is long wear, creamy concealer & touch-up stick, perfect for on the go, in a range of 17 full-coverage shades. The stick concealer is creamy and provides full coverage with a swipe or two on the spots, blemishes, or problem areas. The finish looks natural and skin-like.
It layers beautifully under or over makeup, blurring the look of pores and imperfections while hiding blemishes and uneven skin tone. It does not look cakey and stays put for a full day. Also, it does not dry out my skin or the problem area, as I apply it on my blemish and it keeps the area intact without looking cakey or creasing. The ultra-creamy formula is poured into a portable stick, creating a dip on the surface that perfectly fits your fingertip for easy application.
For my combination skin which is more on the oily side during summers, I did not have any issues with this thick creamy concealer, it blends nicely into the skin with a finger, beauty sponge, or concealer brush or can be swiped directly from the stick onto the skin which I usually avoid. The warmth of the finger makes it blend seamlessly into the skin. Setting it up with setting powder is an optional step for me, but as I normally use a setting powder once I am finished with my base, I continue that which also makes this concealer last longer than usual. I have been mixing two shades to make it match my skin tone but the medium 33 is closer to my skin tone during summer. Medium 33 is for medium skin tones with a yellow undertone, Light 23 is for light skin tones with peach undertones.
The Conceal Full Cover Correcting Brush No 14 is an angled concealer brush that helps conceal imperfections. The brush is so soft and dense, applies and blends the concealer effortlessly without any streaking. I have been using it with the Accomplice Concealer & Touch-Up Stick and the pair works great together. After applying the concealer, it also works to apply the setting powder on top, just dab the brush into the powder and apply after dusting off the excess. The innovative design with asymmetrical brush head allows for easy, precise application.
