Water Stain, the name alone makes my dry lips feel comfortable. Yves Saint Laurent has launched a new formula for lips called Vernis à Lèvres aka Water Stain. Water Stain is a water-enriched, lightweight stain that comfortably drenches lips in a brilliant, high-shine colour that feels fresh and non-sticky.
Water Stain has 40% water-enriched formula applies effortlessly to the lips while hydrating and delivering buildable vivid colour. The YSL exclusive applicator, inspired by the curve of a wave, precisely applies this weightless formula for a luxurious look and feel without the sticky texture.
The lip stain has a mango scent as other YSL lip products and I love it personally, very subtle yet delicious. The lip stain feels very bouncy, lightweight, and comfortable on the lips. It does not feel sticky on the lips at all. The formula is easily buildable, one coat gives me a sheer hint of colour, two coats give a medium coverage, while three coats work nicely to give full coverage to the lips and intense bright colour.
I have dry lips and this lip stain did not make them drier but kept them comfortable. The staying power of the water stain is okay, I can not compare with other water stains that may be available in the market as this is something new for me. The stain stays okay for over an hour or two before I feel the need to reapply. The finish of the water stain is glossy. Personally, I apply the water stain on my lips and then budge it with my finger to give a very natural hint of colour when I am not in the mood for glossy lips. I have noticed that it does make my lips look fuller.
I have swatched six shades of this water stain in a mix of pink, coral, and red
602 Vague de Rouge – fresh strawberry red
605 Bain de Corail – vivid orange-red
609 Submerged Coral – deep pink coral
612 Rouge Deluge – vivid pure red
615 Ruby Wave – deep cool blue red
618 Wet Vermilion – blood orange-red

Two monochromes that complement each other perfectly. So perfectly that they can be encapsulated in a single idea: Solar Pulse’

The amazing formula and packaging of Khol Couture Waterproof is now available in two new shades to intensify the eyes. ‘An ode to a sunset over an arid desert: Khol Couture Waterproof “Tangerine”. Traces of a horizon… when the sky meets the sea: Khol Couture Waterproof “Azur”. Two dynamic, intense, pearly shades that blend perfectly on the skin. A glide-on waterproof texture makes them easy to use.’
This waterproof colour brings brightness to the eyes – even in extreme conditions like summer. Packaged in an easy-to-use pencil with a retractable end that comes in a creamy texture, also comes with its own pencil sharpener. The formula is smudge-proof. I have the brown and black shades in this formula as my staples for the waterline and definitely the formula is same and I can definitely add more colour into my routine with these two summery shades.
In Solar Pulse Summer 2019 Collection, Gloss Interdit Vinyl is available in two new shades. ‘It combines vivid colour with a feeling of absolute comfort. Bursting with vitality: a bright orange, “Solar Orange”. Fresh and sensual: “Vibrant Blue” is a wet-look clear gloss with a hint of blue.’

Lancome has launched a limited-edition, pink, heart-shaped Monsieur Big eyeshadow palette which has 12 metallic & matte eyeshadows in rosy, nude, and chocolate hues mean endless eye shadow looks from nude to intense. With a very beautiful and eye-catching packaging in hot pink colour and the shades are divided into 3 zones with 4 shades each, not that you can not use one shade from one zone and other from a different zone, just that it is great for a beginner to refer and definitely a keeper for a makeup professional. The palette is curated by makeup artist Lisa Eldridge.
With no limit to creativity, many eye looks can be created from this eyeshadow palette. The shades of this new eyeshadow palette are highly pigmented, long-wear, and crease-resistant. The formula is very creamy and smooth, applies and blends easily.
The palette contains 12 eyeshadows:
Big Crush-Base – nude matte
Big Crush-Liner – light gold metallic
Big Crush-Highlight – light pink metallic
Big Crush-Corner – coral matte
Big Date-Base – rose gold matte
Big Date-Liner – bronze metallic
Big Date-Highlight – white metallic
Big Date-Corner – pop pink matte
Big Night-Base – plum brown metallic
Big Night-Liner – wine red matte
Big Night-Highlight – fuchsia red metallic
Big Night-Corner – brick brown metallic
For each of the three eyeshadow range, they can be applied:
• Apply the base all over the eyelid
• Apply the corner eyeshadow shade in your outer-corner to intensify the look
• Bring highlight to your look with the highlighter eyeshadow shade on the inner corner and the center of your lid.
• Apply the liner eyeshadow shade on your eye shape contour to structure your eye
• Finally, apply a few coats of our best volumizing mascara, Monsieur Big Mascara, on your lashes
The formula is very pigmented, especially the metallic eyeshadows are very buttery as compared to matte’s which is normal for a matte eyeshadow. The formula blends easily and is buildable to the needed intensity and looks. They did not crease on my eyelids for a few hours without any eye primer. I find the three compartments very helpful when using and creating an eye look and you might agree with me. And coming to the packaging, it is a delight to eyes and can definitely be a great gift idea for anyone loving pink and red hues and want to be creative.
