New launched Marc Jacobs Beauty Accomplice Concealer & Touch-Up Stick is long wear, creamy concealer & touch-up stick, perfect for on the go, in a range of 17 full-coverage shades. The stick concealer is creamy and provides full coverage with a swipe or two on the spots, blemishes, or problem areas. The finish looks natural and skin-like.
It layers beautifully under or over makeup, blurring the look of pores and imperfections while hiding blemishes and uneven skin tone. It does not look cakey and stays put for a full day. Also, it does not dry out my skin or the problem area, as I apply it on my blemish and it keeps the area intact without looking cakey or creasing. The ultra-creamy formula is poured into a portable stick, creating a dip on the surface that perfectly fits your fingertip for easy application.
For my combination skin which is more on the oily side during summers, I did not have any issues with this thick creamy concealer, it blends nicely into the skin with a finger, beauty sponge, or concealer brush or can be swiped directly from the stick onto the skin which I usually avoid. The warmth of the finger makes it blend seamlessly into the skin. Setting it up with setting powder is an optional step for me, but as I normally use a setting powder once I am finished with my base, I continue that which also makes this concealer last longer than usual. I have been mixing two shades to make it match my skin tone but the medium 33 is closer to my skin tone during summer. Medium 33 is for medium skin tones with a yellow undertone, Light 23 is for light skin tones with peach undertones.
The Conceal Full Cover Correcting Brush No 14 is an angled concealer brush that helps conceal imperfections. The brush is so soft and dense, applies and blends the concealer effortlessly without any streaking. I have been using it with the Accomplice Concealer & Touch-Up Stick and the pair works great together. After applying the concealer, it also works to apply the setting powder on top, just dab the brush into the powder and apply after dusting off the excess. The innovative design with asymmetrical brush head allows for easy, precise application.

Charlotte Tilbury’s Hot Lips 2 collection just launched with 11 nuanced lipstick shades inspired by 11 incredible icons; rule breakers, record makers and history shakers, from the peachy nude-rose in homage to JK Rowling to a dreamy elegant berry in homage to Amal Clooney. The shades, formula, and the names of the lipsticks are so fun as well as suitable for all skin tones, day and night. The universally-flattering colours come in five magical, collectible, refillable cases inspired by Charlotte’s universe of fashion, Hollywood, Rock ‘n’ Roll and magic. The lipsticks can be mixed and matched with your favourite design with any Hot Lips 2 refill shade.
It is just not a new lipstick launch but is also an ultimate empowering collaboration with Women for Women International to inspire confidence and change lives with a truly magical £1 million pledge of Hot Lips sales to the incredible charity.
There are 10 colours and also a lip conditioner in the range and each one is inspired by people that Charlotte considers to be iconic in her life. There are five K.I.S.S.I.N.G shades and five Matte Revolution shades.
The K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick formula is moisturizing and hydrating, leaves an illusion of lit-from-within sheen, plumper looking lips. The staying power is nice, I had to reapply after over 5 hours while it kept the lips comfortable.
The are five K.I.S.S.I.N.G shades:
- Dancefloor Princess (Kylie Minogue) – cool 60s pop princess pink
- Angel Alessandra (Alessandra Ambrosio) – perfect peachy nude
- Glowing Jen (Jennifer Anniston) – tawny beachy rose
- J.K. Magic (J.K Rowling) – peachy nude rose
- In Love with Olivia (Olivia Palermo) – pretty pink
The Matte lipstick formula is hydrating and conditions the lips, the formula is pigmented and comfortable to wear. The staying power is pretty good too, I had to reapply after over 6-7 hours. For my lips which are on the dry side, the formula works pretty nice.
The five Matte Revolution shades are:
- Carina’s Star (Carina Lau) – modern peach soft coral
- Viva La Vergara (Sofia Vergara) – soft wine
- Patsy Red (Charlotte’s mum) – iconic red
- Red Hot Susan (Susan Sarandon) – wearable tawny orange
- Amazing Amal (Amal Clooney) – elegant soft berry pink
The packaging of the lipsticks is gorgeous, heavy, and looks elegant yet modern. The five gorgeous refillable lipstick cases are:
- Timeless Leopard
- Modern Red Leopard
- Magic Infinity Starburst
- Magic Panther
- Power of the Universe
There’s also a hydrating lip conditioner-lipstick called the Enigmatic Edward Hot Lips which is a hydrating clear lipstick in homage to Edward Enninful. It keeps the lips moisturized and comfortable for an impressive amount of time, for me, my lips were nice and smooth for over 7-8 hours. It can also be layered with the other lipsticks – over or under them.
With something for everyone – shade range, formula, or packaging,
Charlotte Tilbury’s Hot Lips 2 collection is definitely something you need to check out. Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Collection is available at Charlotte Tilbury Canada, Charlotte Tilbury US, and Holt Renfrew.
Since the time I tried using Dermablend flawless creator™ foundation drops early this year, reviewed here, it has really changed the meaning of how the professional makeup should be, I still use it in rotation. I have another makeup base from Dermablend I have been using since last few weeks and finally sharing with you guys in this post. Dermablend Smooth Liquid Camo Foundation and Loose Setting Powder Original are new additions to my stash of makeup which I have been using quite a lot these days.
Dermablend Smooth Liquid Camo Foundation is a lightweight, buildable, hydrating foundation which is not overly hydrating but good enough for my combination skin to look radiant while providing a nice medium to full buildable coverage. The staying time of impressive on my skin, I tested for over 12 hours, it stays put and does provide coverage even at the end of the day with a little touch up with setting powder around the end of the day. It provides all-day hydration and broad-spectrum SPF 25 for skin protection. For my combination skin prone to acne, I have few spots from breakouts here and there at any time of the year, so I am open to using full coverage foundation and it means I do not have to use concealer on the spots and pigmentation. The creamy texture blends nicely into the skin without looking cakey. I like how it makes the skin look beautiful, radiant, and healthy looking. I mix a little of 45w into 35w to make the right shade for my skin tone.
Dermablend Loose Setting Powder Original is a sheer smooth translucent powder to set makeup, it ensures smudge and transfer resistance and also enhances makeup wear for up to 16 hours. It blends smoothly to mattify the complexion and leave skin looking flawless. I prefer to use it on the oily areas of my face, like the centre of the face. The good thing is the staying power is pretty amazing, it keeps my oily areas matte for a good amount of time comparing to other loose powders I have used. I apply the powder on the areas of the face I want to mattify, leave it on for 2 minutes before brushing off the excess powder.
Dermablend Smooth Liquid Camo Foundation and Loose Setting Powder Original are nice additions to my makeup and will be great for you if you are looking for a hydrating medium-full coverage foundation that looks natural and radiant while the powder works nicely to keep the skin matte.
