I love hair products that work to improve the condition of my frizz prone, dull hair and make them look healthy and shiny. Moroccanoil Treatment is a staple product in my hair care products shelf since more than 5 years. I have repurchased this few times and it is always with me whether I am home or travelling or even if I do not plan to use it for some time, giving a break to this but it needs to be there, that is why you will see all the sizes of this product which I have purchased and repurchased.
Moroccanoil Treatment ( CAD $49 excl taxes for 100ml) is described as the product that pioneered oil-infused hair care The original foundation for hairstyling, Moroccanoil Treatment can be used as a conditioning, styling and finishing tool. Infused with antioxidant-rich argan oil and shine-boosting vitamins, this completely transformative hair treatment detangles, speeds up drying time and boosts shine—leaving you with nourished, manageable and smooth hair with each use. This product created the worldwide buzz on argan oil in the last few years and won a number of beauty awards.
Moroccanoil Treatment is suitable for all hair types and is free of Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates. This product, a single, revolutionary product that pioneered a new category in the beauty industry has the brand grown into a full line of hair and body products.
I have this oil since years and love the results I get from it. This is one of my most trusted hair product. Whenever I have a meeting, or some important event and do not want to risk my hair look, I know I have to reach for this one. What I do is take two pumps of this hair oil and apply to my damp hair starting from mid lengths to the ends. When I do not feel any oil left on my hands, I just pat my fingers on the hair above the mid lengths. then I either air dry or blow dry my hair. If I am air-drying my hair after applying this oil, my hair takes less time to dry. And if blow-drying, this works as a heat protection as well as hydration for hair. The results on my hair are what I can expect from one of my favorite hair oil, silky, shiny and healthy hair.
I have used this oil as a pre-shampoo treatment and works well to maintain healthy scalp and hair. The texture of this oil is thick but it just does not feel oily on the hair, it does works as a treatment coating the hair with the formulation that is rich in argan oil and shine-boosting vitamins. I do not see any flyaways or dry dull hair when I use this oil. Being a product junkie, I do have a number of hair products and hair oils, I am planning to post a picture on my social handles to show you my collection and favorites some day, this product is always in the front row and the most-reached for.
The oil has a subtle mix of argan and flowery fragrance that lingers for some time and I like it. The packaging is in a dark glass bottle with a pump which dispenses the right amount of oil in each pressing. Overall, as this is one of my favorites in the hair category, my love for this is strong and have very bright chances it will continue. Moroccanoil Treatment is available to be purchased from the Moroccanoil Official website and Sephora.

Burberry makeup has always been very close to my heart, one of the reasons behind that is the legacy of this iconic brand and the luxurious classic touch they give to each of their products. Starting from the quality till the point where it reaches to the consumer in beautiful presentable Burberry gift boxes, everything is just classic. Over the period of last three years, my love for Burberry has increased immensely, you might have read my post about the limited edition Blushes I reviewed a few days back, I have linked it here. The three blushes I am going to talk about in this post are Burberry Light Glow Natural Blush (CAD $47 excl taxes) in No. 5 Blossom Blush, No. 9 Coral Pink and the limited edition darker version of Earthy Blush shade called No. 11 Dark Earthy. These three blushes were purchased by me.
The Blushes are very well made and the packaging is sturdy and heavy-weight. The Blushes do have a very soft floral scent which is very subtle. The packaging of these blushes is in a mirrored square compact and includes an angled blush in the case. The sleek packaging has a magnetic closure and overall it feels very luxurious. The brush included in the compact is a good companion for travel but I do prefer to use a full-size brush when I am not traveling. The product in the case has the beautiful embossing of the Burberry Check pattern. The texture of these blushes is very lightweight finely milled powder and is very easy to apply and blend.
The shade No. 5 Blossom is a bright coral shimmer which looks naturally stunning on my medium tan skin tone. It has shimmer but is very easy to wear and I do wear this to work, looks very natural on my cheeks. No 9 Coral Pink is a deep warm rose pink with a hint of coral which brightens the face. This one is very pigmented and has a subtle shimmer in the compact which does not show when applied on the face. No 11 Dark Earthy is dark matte taupe which does not look like a fun shade but when applied on the cheeks, it gives the beautiful natural contour to the cheeks. This can also be used as an eye shadow, blush, and contour.
From Top to Bottom – No 11 Dark Earthy, No. 5 Blossom, No 9 Coral Pink
All the three shades will look great on all skin tones in my opinion. I love the staying power of these blushes, it stays on well for over 7 hours. I do feel they do boost the complexion and do not look flat when applied. These are available to be purchased at Sephora, Hudsons Bay and Holt Renfrew.
Which shades of blushes do you prefer, pink, coral or earthy? Do you like shimmer, satin or matte finish of a blush?
You might have some hints about few of my favorite brands by now if you are following my blog and social handles. Givenchy is one of my favorite brands, whether it is their formula, packaging, staying power, performance, I love everything about them. I know the products I am going to write about are not new launches but they have been in the market for some time and are still available if you want to grab these. It is the perfect time to look and buy these as there are few more weeks left for the summer. I was sent these Givenchy Summer products for reviewing a few days back and I am already wishing for a longer summer. Nicolas Degennes is the creative mind behind the Summer 2017 Collection.
Givenchy Prisme Blush (CAD $55 excl taxes) is the reinvention of the original Prisme blush. The blushes are compacted into the shape of the legendary prisms. The formula is light powder and easy to use. The compact holds two carefully selected shades that complement each other. The palest pearly shade provides the light which can be used as a base where the color is applied or as a highlighter to add dimension by spotlighting the areas of the face that catch the light naturally like the top of cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, and the temples (starting above the eyebrow roots). The darker shade gives a healthy radiant glow and can be used on the apples of the cheeks.
No 1 Passion
No 4 Rite
Prisme Blush has a new nomadic compact case which is a perfectly geometrical rectangle of shiny, lacquered jet-black. It is stamped with the seal of the 4G and embellished with the iconic Couture metal stud. Inside the compact case is a brush and has the perfect density to pick up a generous brushful of powder and a great travel companion too. The angled shape of the brush is designed to structure the face and has a dual function, which is it can smooth with the long side, or draw with the tip. The Blushes and swatches in the pictures below are Shades No 1 Passion and No 4 Rite. Black Tahitian PEarl Powder helps provide smoothness and provides radiance. Synthetic Pigments provide sparkling colors and a radiant matte finish. Lauroyl and Lysine adds ease of application, even ness and great staying power of the product. This lasted on me for over 8 hours.
Givenchy Rouge Interdit Vinyl (CAD $38 excl taxes) is an extreme shine lipstick with intense color and moderate coverage. The formula provides extreme shine and is very comfortable to wear. It has moisturizing and the texture is easy to wear. The Glossy Oils and silicone resin provide extreme brilliance and plumping effect. Extract of Black ROse Oil macerated in soft almond oil provides comfort and moisturization. Crystal clusters of calcium carbonate in the form of desert rose provide intense color and blurring effect. This lipstick is available in 8 shades and the one in the swatches is 16 Noir Revelateur.
Le Rouge Perfecto (CAD $42 excl taxes) is a 3 in 1 lip product. It is a Balm, Maximizer and Pink Enhancer in one tube. As a Balm, it has a melting texture with shea extract for high moisturizing power. As a maximizer, Pepperslim and coolact give plumped lips. As a pink Enhancer, the texture infused with Eosin provides naturally glowing and rosy lips. The packaging of the product is in the pink genuine leather case along with metallic tube encapsulating the product.
Givenchy Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick Shade 25 ( CAD $45 excl taxes) is a limited edition lipstick which is smooth and long wearing. The lipstick has light reflecting color which nourishes and hydrates the lips with the power of antioxidants. The packaging is in a black and silver tube adorned with a ribbon at one end that unlocks this beautiful product. The texture is fine and very spreadable like it melts over the lips.
These products are beautiful and have been on a continuous rotation since some time. The quality and results are amazing. They are available for purchase at Sephora.

Everyone has those few products which work for their skin when nothing else works and Clarins Skin Beauty Repair Concentrate S.O.S Treatment for Sensitive skin (CAD $66 excl taxes for 15ml) is one of those products for me. This has been in my skincare arsenal since few years and it is not advised to be used regularly but when the skin is in dire need. I reach for this serum/oil when my skin behaves badly whether it is due to weather, stress, allergic reaction or when I have eczema flaring up ( my eczema does come up once or twice in a year). The packaging of this product is in a small plastic bottle which is air tight and the product comes out of the pump. The fragrance is very subtle and I find it medicinal in a nice way.
Clarins Skin Beauty Repair Concentrate S.O.S Treatment for Sensitive skin is described as ultra-soothing “emergency” treatment for skin that reacts to every little thing. It helps calm extreme irritations and inflammations with the nurturing benefits of 90% pure plant extracts. It restores balance and clarity to sensitive skin with continued use. It is suitable for skin of all ages and skin types normal, oily, combination and dry. The texture of this treatment is oily.
The main ingredients involved in its formulation are derived from Sunflower, Olive Tree, Avocado, and Sweet Marjoram. The oil and wax from the seeds of Sunflower have moisturizing and protective benefits. The chemical from the leaves of the Olive tree is extremely moisturizing and is similar to the lipids in the skin. Avocado is exceptionally rich in vitamins, minerals, proteins and essential fatty acids and has been used as a remedy for a migraine, respiratory disorders, and skin disease. Sweet Marjoram is valued for its medicinal purposes by Greeks and in many other parts of the world.
As mentioned in the starting of this post, this serum/oil is advised to be used as a treatment for no more than 15-20 days at a time as an intensive treatment or any time of the day as an emergency treatment, and one pump on cleansed face and neck avoiding eye area. The texture is oily but does get absorbed into the skin very fast without leaving any residue or oily feeling. I reach for this bottle when my skin is red and irritated due to breakouts or allergy. It does work very well on my eczema or dry patches on the skin which I usually get around the change of season. I find this treatment calms down my skin and I can rely on it when nothing else works for my skin. I follow up with a gentle moisturizer after using this product.
This is available at Clarins Canada Official website, Hudsons Bay, and Sephora.

I am all about the best and luxurious products and when it comes to few of my favorite brands, I just have to buy the product. I love Omorovicza as a brand and have used a few of their products which I have reviewed in this blog and posted on my Instagram. If you are interested in reading about them, you can write ‘Omorovicza’ in the search bar on the right and will see all the posts about the brand. I got a small sample of this mist a few years back (precisely almost three years back) and then I purchased the full size of Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist (CAD $110 excl taxes) which tempted me to get a travel size (CAD $40 excl taxes) to keep in my bag and yes, here I am with the review for one of my go-to mists.
Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist is described as a refreshing neroli and rose-scented toning facial mist perfect for a midday pick-me-up or as a post-cleanse toner. A quick spritz of this neroli and rose-scented facial mist refreshes the skin and lifts the spirits. The formulation is purifying and hydrating. This mist was inspired by the Queen of Hungary Water, the world’s first recorded perfume, formulated for Queen Elizabeth of Hungary in the 14th century. It is free from Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates and synthetic colors and fragrances. As all other Omorovicza products, this is also powered by a potent blend of Hungary’s mineral-rich healing waters and their patented Hydro Mineral Transference™ delivery system. It is suitable for most of the skin types and does work well for dull and dry skin.
I do love facial mists, I am not referring to the makeup setting sprays but the mists which have some skin care benefits and can be incorporated into your skin care routine. In my skin care routine, mists are must whether it is after cleansing my face, drying it and then spraying the mist before applying the serum onto my skin or if it is a follow-up spray after using an acid exfoliator. I have used this mist for a long time, almost 3 years on and off and I do like to keep it in my skin care stash always.
Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist, the names itself sounds divine, majestic and luxurious ( so many beautiful words in one sentence for this mist I know). A spritz of this mist does give a nice glow, hydration, and freshness to the skin and to the senses too. The packaging is beautiful glass bottle and the best part is the topper from where the mist comes out, it is the gentlest and fine mist that comes out of that topper, not like you get wet or the product gets to different directions, but just the perfect kind and like made as per your face’s size and needs.
My face needs 2-3 spritz and I just wait for few seconds to apply my serum on to the skin. It makes the serums get absorbed nicely. The fragrance of this mist is very subtle and natural. Apart from using it the ways I described above, I do like to keep this in the fridge and spritz it onto my face during my skin care routine, it feels so calming and freshening. For using this as a mid day pick me up, the aroma and the gentle mist does freshen up the senses and the skin. It is available to be purchased at Sephora and the Omorovicza official website ( they do ship worldwide).
