Dior highlighters are one of the best I have tried – the shades, the formula, the finish, and the performance – it’s something that is uncomparable – they look so natural and the true lit-from-within example if somebody asks me. The limited-edition packaging and shades from Dior are something that I always look forward to. I am sharing the limited edition shades of Diorskin Nude Luminizer Lolli’Glow which were launched for spring but are not limited to use only in spring though – the shades 007 Peach Delight and 008 Pink Delight look perfectly gorgeous for any time of the year.
Diorskin Nude Luminizer Lolli’Glow powder instantly illuminates the complexion for spring with an iridescent sheen and enhances the face with a multidimensional glow. With a high concentration of pearlescent pigments, this highlighter structures the face and revives the complexion with a radiant glow.
“It’s an incredible, versatile product: the powder plays with strategic areas to bring a new dimension to makeup and is perfect for strobing. It can also be used to give a little beauty boost during the day when makeup starts to fade,” explains Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup.
This delectably pearlized highlighter illuminates the complexion with an iridescent sheen. The face is enhanced with the multidimensional glow of pearlescent pigments. Diorskin Nude Luminizer Lolli’Glow takes makeup to a whole new dimension by adapting to different skin tones. With a high concentration of pearlescent pigments, its formula bathes the face in a radiant glow for more beautiful-looking skin.

There is a lipstick I have recently been loving – Rouge Dior Couture Colour Lipstick in shade 646 – On Fire which is a bright metallic orange with a golden sheen. The luxurious black and silver packaging with a pigmented yet the lightweight and creamy formula is a lovely addition to my fall and winter lip colours.

I still can not get over the beautiful launches last year, details here and the year has just flown by so quickly – sharing the Cire Trudon Christmas 2019 Collection from the house in this article. Founded in 17th Century Paris, Cire Trudon has a rich history and was once candlemaker to the courts of Marie Antoinette and Louis XIV.
Cire Trudon celebrates Christmas with a collection of 6 festive scented candles: their magnetic refections and luminous surfaces are unique. The candles are handcrafted with care, each glass is first lacquered on the inside before being decorated with silver leaves. Placed one by one, the later leaves fine cracks through which the light shines mysteriously. The flickering gives the candle a unique presence.
Further lacquered, the scented candles stand out with a colourful sheen: Abd el Kader’s silvery-white, Ernesto’s enigmatic black, Fir’s deep metallic blue, Nazareth’s magnetic red, Gabriel’s iridescent khaki and Hupo’s golden amber. In addition to Cire Trudon’s Nativity scents – evoking deserts, benzoin, myrrh and the trilogy of Magi kings – Fir et Hupo bring wintery notes of fir and amber to the collection.
Cire Trudon Abd El Kader
‘Abd el Kader’ candle with its sweet spearmint scent calls to mind the aroma of hot mint tea. Ginger, Clove, Jasmine and Vanilla give the refreshing fragrance a warm depth. The vegetable-based wax is housed in limited ediiton packaging adorned with the house’s signature gold plaque. A gust of freedom blowing from the Mascara coast and the mountains picks up on its way the green scents of fresh mint, the rashness of fights, ginger’s hot and peppered air and the perfume of tea and tobacco from the Ouled Nail tribe. The keynotes fragrance are below:
Head Notes are Apple, Blackcurrent Bud, Clove, Ginger, Lemon, Spearmint
Heart Note is Jasmine
Base Note is Vanilla
Born in 1808 near the town of Mascara in Algeria, Abd El Kader was a politician and military leader, as well as a writer, poet and philosopher who founded the Algerian state. Nicknamed “the friend of the French”, he was said to be enlightened and cultivated. A man who always fought with honour, he was highly respected even by his enemies.
I first reviewed this candle here last year. Abd El Kader is available in Classic size – 9,5oz/270g – Burn time 55 to 65 hours, Intermezzo – 28 oz/800g – Burn time 110 to 120 hours, Great candle – 105oz/3kg – Burn time more than 300 hours.
Cire Trudon Nazareth
Nazareth candle has a pure cotton wick and is made with vegetable-based wax scented with clove, cinnamon and orange. The red glass vessel has been hand-blown by artisans in Vinci, Italy – each one is unique. ‘Under a unique star, the red fire of clove, cinnamon and orange dances in the silent sacred night. From Orient to Occident, a pinch of olibanum secretly enlightens the soul.’
Head Notes: Bitter Orange, Ceylan Cinnamon, Grapefruit, Tangerine
Heart Notes: Cardamom, Chinese Osmanthus, Cinnamon, Clove, Orange
Base Notes: Benzoin Resin, Bourbon Vanilla, Cistus, Musk, Myrrh

Cire Trudon Hupo
Cire Trudon’s candle has been carefully hand-poured in Normandy and presented within a golden glass vessel bearing the brand’s emblem. Instilled with notes of Amber, Cedarwood and Iris, ‘Hupo’ is a relaxing fragrance that “fills your home with a sense of calm.” Notes of Citrus and Cinnamon make it particularly festive, so be sure to light it when you have visitors.
‘A mysterious and mesmerizing material, ambergris has been treasured since Antiquity. The Hupo scented candle hints at ambergris’ rare origin: sought and desired, ambergris fascinated sovereigns around the globe; it was exchanged at a high price between China and the Middle East. Used in perfumes as well as medicine, its enigmatic, sensual scent matches the skin perfectly. Presented in a golden glass, the Hupo scented candle welcomes the olfactory strength of ambergris, incense and cashmere wood to celebrate Christmas in a unique manner.’
Head Notes: Cashmere wood, Cedar, Elemi
Heart Notes: Iris, Patchouli, Incense
Base Notes: Amber, Leather, Labdanum, Vanilla

I am so in love with the festive vibe and beautiful vibrant packaging with unique shades of products in the Givenchy Beauty Red Line Collection for holiday 2019. ‘In pursuit of freedom and diversity, the Red Line collection is a call to push your own boundaries and break the rules, with strength and passion. The power of red gives you the courage, strength and intensity to be yourself, truly. Red Line is a Christmas where nothing is out of bounds.’
A confident look that pushes the boundaries of colour and shines an ultra-luminous pink complexion. There are no rules to follow for this blush, highlighter and eyeshadow, the texture blends evenly into the skin for individual results and a look that tears up the rulebook. The Red Line collection comprises products for the complexion, eyes and lips for a Christmas where nothing is out of bounds.
Prisme Libre, Givenchy’s iconic loose powder, with its soft and airy-light texture, is dressed up in an exclusive sparkling red case. The best seller shade 01 Mousseline Pastel has been boosted with pink sparkles for a natural, fresh and luminous complexion – No 10 Sparkling Mousseline. For this collection, Nicolas has revisited Maison’s iconic mattifying loose powder and reimagined its starshade, No. 01 Mousseline Pastel. This new creation reveals a delicately natural, luminous and elegant pink – while blue, mauve and white complete the quartet and create light. This special edition is enriched with mother-of-pearl, to add light to the complexion on top of the naturally even finish created by the evanescent. That means the same luminous matte finish with added light and radiance. It is very lightweight and suitable for all skin tones and types.
Red Lights – 4 Colors Face & Eye Palette, the multi-purpose palette, holds a stunning combination of 4 deep creamy shades. This festive case opens to reveal the legendary 4Gs, in a bold palette to embellish the eyes and complexion. A quartet of daring shades: an intense red, a flamboyant pink, a bright peach, plus an illuminating metallic gold. The creamy long-wear texture can be used as a blush, highlighter or even as eyeshadow.
Rouge Interdit is launched in two pearly shades: 27 Bold Red and 28 Thrilling Brown. No 27 Bold Red is an intense red, dotted with mother-of-pearl to create a deep yet subtle shine while No 28 Thrilling Brown is a daring brown with a reddish tone (pearly red pigments). The vibrant colours have exceptional comfort for a second-skin sensation. The pigment is intense with a metallic effect. The formula of Rouge Interdit is very comfortable and nourishing – I have reviewed it a few times in the past. The longevity of the lipstick is pretty nice.
This lipstick is a tribute, to the first Rouge Couture lipstick created by Hubert de Givenchy, which had a case engraved with multiple 4Gs. Thirty years later, for these two shades, Nicolas Degennes imagined engraving the stick of this soft, smooth texture itself with those same 4Gs.
Overall, a gorgeous collection as expected from Givenchy Makeup and Nicolas Degennes. Red Line Collection for Holiday 2019 is available at Sephora, Holt Renfrew*Press samples
