The holiday season is almost here and all I can think of is the limited edition gift sets and gorgeous products that are all over the stores making it more and more difficult to choose the right gift. This post kicks off my series on my special recommendations I chose for you guys for the upcoming season. Acqua di Parma has a festive Gift Set of Chinotto di Liguria essentials presented in a gift box beautifully illustrated by the British artist Clym Evernden linked here. The Chinotto di Liguria gift set includes a 75ml eau de toilette, a 40ml moisturizing shower gel, and a new 50ml spray body lotion, infused with the refreshing and lively signature citrus scent of the Mediterranean landscape. I have details on the Chinotto di Liguria eau de toilette and the spray body lotion in this editorial.
Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Chinotto Di Liguria eau de toilette is a refreshing and lively scent from Liguria for men and women. This refreshing scent encapsulates Italy’s coastal Chinotto and mandarin trees. The nose behind the fragrance is Francois Demachy, he is also the nose behind four other Blu Mediterraneo perfumes including this one. The note that is focussed and is also in the name of the fragrance is Chinotto which is a rare Mediterranean citrus. The citrus notes are combined with jasmine, geranium, rosemary, and cardamom. Patchouli and musk evoke nature and wellbeing. The notes of the fragrance are: Chinotto, Mandarin, Jasmine, Geranium, Rosemary, Cardamom, Patchouli, and Musk
‘Chinotto, the rarest and most precious citrus fruit, is a bittersweet treasure of Italy. This refreshing and lively scent is inspired by a unique land of contrasts. Like a perfect memory of a sunny morning walk overlooking the sea alongside Chinotto and mandarin trees, this fragrance evokes the delightful embrace of sand and sea. Echoes and sunny touches of jasmine and geranium are refreshed by the energetic notes of rosemary and cardamom. Patchouli and musk evoke the silence and peace of an untouched nature for a pure moment of well-being.’
Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Chinotto Di Liguria Body Lotion is a lightweight and hydrating body mist enriched with almond, olive and grape seed oils to leave skin soft and scented by the fresh and sophisticated notes of Chinotto di Liguria. The fragrance Notes are same as the Eau de toilette: Chinotto, Mandarin, Jasmine, Geranium, Rosemary, Cardamom, Patchouli, Musk.
The fragrance is a chypre floral fragrance. It is a fresh summery fragrance and totally reminds me of a beach vacation, so fresh and full of energy. The staying power of the fragrance is around 5-6 hours on my skin and if I follow the eau de toilette after applying the body lotion from the same range, I could smell the scent even longer and it lingers around for a bit more longer time. The scent is not overpowering to me and would be a great gift for anyone going for a vacation, or for yourself for the summer or for a vacation, the set is a great value to try more from the same range.
With some amazing new launches for the fall and holidays, I am so excited about all the new products with the warmness, the intense shades, comfortable melting textures, and the feel of the bright time. I am sharing the new launches from Giorgio Armani including the Giorgio Armani Rouge d’Armani Matte lipstick, Eyes to Kill Lacquered Eyeliner, and Eyes to Kill Stellar Mono Eyeshadows which are all gorgeous shades and textures which will suit most of the skin tones.
Giorgio Armani Rouge d’Armani Matte lipstick is the new matte lip color from the brand which is very pigmented, long-wear, and comfortable to wear. The pigmentation is amazing, a single application gives a really good coverage. It is formulated with a light-diffusing gel that allows for a rich matte finish that looks smooth and supple, rather than dry. The formula also has emollient paste agent, ester oils and a hydrogenated jojoba oil make for a creamy, glide-on application sensation.
The matte packaging is absolutely gorgeous, ultra-matte bullet, sleek matte red and black packaging with iconic Armani magnetic closure. Someone with dry lips, I have been wearing these all for testing and very impressed with the formula, my lips were comfortable without being dry and the intensity from a single swipe from the bullet is amazing, I did blur it out with my finger to make it more diffused.
Overall, a great formula and vibrant shades to worth checking out. The four shades I have swatched below are:
200 Diva (Mocha)
400 Four Hundred (Red Crimson)
500 Fatale (Blush Pink)
506 Maharajah (Pink).
Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Lacquered Eyeliner is described as a water-based liquid eyeliner that reflects the light and illuminates the eyes with a single, graphics and deep black sweep. It is designed in the iconic pack of Giorgio Armani liner, the pack provides a precise application. It has a high level of well-dispersed Carbon Black which helps with intense black and even finish. It has a high level of latex for its long-lasting properties, shiny effect, and comfort.
The water-based formula reflects the light which makes it look like freshly applied and intense at the same time. For my eye shape, I do prefer a very thin line rather than a thick eyeliner, this eyeliner is easy to apply and I did have control over how intense I need to apply but I was not able to get that very thin line over my upper lashline. It has a nice staying power, did not smudge for over 7-8 hours.
Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Stellar Mono Eyeshadow is an ultra-pigmented, long-lasting eyeshadow with a comfortable gel texture and shimmery finish. The shades are bright, applies evenly, with a shimmering finish and the texture is just so soft and bouncy making the application so easy.
Eyes to Kill Stellar 4 Stardust
The gel-like bouncy formula glides on the lids and transforms into light powder when applied with a finger. The formula is easy to blend and comfortable to wear.
Eyes to Kill Stellar 5 Stellar
There are six sparkling shades available in this new mono eyeshadow formula which can be applied alone, or mixed and matched to create more fun or intense looks. The formula is rich, pigmented, and buildable. It looks beautiful yet subtle at the same time with a single swipe on the lids. I have been using the two shades 4 Stardust and 5 Stellar and really obsessed that I am going to check out the rest 4 shades out of 6.
I have been wearing the two products from Neo Nude Collection which I reviewed here and these new launches are definitely going to be in rotation now. Giorgio Armani Beauty is available at armani-beauty.ca, Sephora, Sephora Canada, Nordstrom, and Saks.
With my blemish prone skin, I am always on the lookout for something that will help me and my skin to deal with the congestion. The new mask from Omorovicza called Silver Skin Saviour Mask is claimed to be the perfect treatment for blemish-prone skin and that made me really intrigued in putting this under test on my own combination skin prone to acne and congestion. Silver Skin Saviour is described as a mask that harnesses the power of colloidal silver and niacinamide. Colloidal silver has long been known for its Anti-bacterial and healing properties and is associated with skin health. Combined with niacinamide, it provides a potent blend that combats blemishes and breakouts. Salicylic and glycolic acids also help unclog pores to reveal clearer, smoother, and healthier skin.
From my personal experience, it is not just a particular season or food or environmental or hormonal factors that break me out, it is also on the days I am stressed and not able to pay attention to my physical and mental health. So either of the reason may be the cause of my skin breaking out. And congestion has been a part of my skin concern for a long time now and unless I take care of it, use the right products, like masks, exfoliation, serum, I am unable to keep it under control. This mask has been a part of my bi-weekly skincare routine for over a month now and I am glad to share it with you guys.
The key benefits of the ingredients and the formula include:
• Colloidal silver, known for its powerful antibacterial properties, helps cure skin infections, making it a superb topical treatment for blemishes & imperfections.
• Niacinamide (vitamin B3), known for its skin brightening properties, reveals a more even and refined skin tone, as well
as helping to control sebum production.
• Salicylic acid, also known as Beta Hydroxy Acid, exfoliates the surface of the skin, leaving it smooth and soft and also
enhances cell renewal and improves pigmentation issues.
• Glycolic acid, a powerful exfoliating AHA, reveals a brighter, clearer, and more even-toned complexion.
• Omorovicza’s patented Healing ConcentrateTM leaves skin firmer, more supple and younger-looking.
I apply a generous amount of this mask on my face and neck avoiding eye area. Then leave on for 15 minutes and remove with a damp washcloth or warm water. The mask has a very smooth creamy texture, glides on nicely on the skin. After removing the mask, it is one of the few products I have used which gives me instant results. My pores look smaller than usual and my skin looks clean after the first use, the active blemishes look a little diminished and feel less painful. My problem areas and blemishes do not look red, irritated or sensitive. I am so obsessed with this mask for my problem skin, the ingredients as explained above are something I always look for in the products for my type of skin. I did share more products from Omorovicza I have been really enjoying here.
