I am a fan of masking and multi-masking. Based on my personal experience, I have seen my skin is beautiful and radiant when I include masks in my skincare routine. Based on what my skin needs and how it is behaving, I go for the mask suited for the concern. For your reference again, I have combination skin which is prone to congestion. Being a fan of Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask, reviewed here, I was so excited when Omorovicza Midnight Radiance Mask was launched last month in September.
Omorovicza Midnight Radiance Mask (CAD $155) is described as a brightening overnight mask that gives a radiant glow. The gel texture of the mask melts into the skin, gently exfoliating while promoting cell renewal and also fights hyperpigmentation. It also helps reduce discoloration while giving hydration and keeping the sebum levels balanced to reveal brighter, smoother and even-toned skin.
The key active ingredients in this mask include:
Salicylic Acid – It is a Beta-Hydroxy Acid, which exfoliates the surface of the skin. It enhances cell renewal and improves pigmentation issues.
Sand Lily – It reduces the size and pigmentation of dark spots by reducing the production of melanin.
Red Algae and Sodium Hyaluronate – They lock moisture during sleep and provide long-lasting hydration.
Copper Gluconate – It regulates the production of sebum.
Omorovicza’s patented Hydro Mineral Transference delivery system leaves skin firmer, more supple and younger looking.
Tha packaging of the mask is in a sturdy glass jar as the other Omorovicza masks. I have been using this mask three to four times in a week for past 3 weeks. I double cleanse my face in the evening and follow with my toner. Then I apply this mask over my face and neck avoiding eye area. It gives a nice cooling effect due to its gel texture and then I let it dry and that’s it. It dries within five to seven minutes. It does not leaves any residue or feels heavy or sticky. It does not feel like I have applied something different from my normal night cream, making it comfortable to wear during the night.
I have used it even on the nights I feel a bump or congestion is coming up, and then in the morning, I do not see that congestion. It may be other factors too, but I am positive that it makes a difference. One more reason I reach for this mask is the ease of use. On the days I am too tired or do not want to do my five to six-step night routine, I just cleanse, tone and apply this mask. I did not have any issues like any irritation or sensitivity on my combination skin. The skin is hydrated, bright, clearer, and radiant in the morning. I plan to use this regularly to get the maximum benefits from this new launch Omorovicza Midnight Radiance Mask.

Continued from my previous post here, this post is for the review and swatches of the products in the holiday 2017 collection. Complimenting the Man Ray For Nars Holiday 2017 Color Collection, Man Ray For Nars Holiday 2017 Gifting Collection has some beautiful palettes and lip pencils in the famous signature formulas of Nars Cosmetics. The Gifting collection is described as Think outside of the box with a covetable collection of artful sets inspired by the bold minimalism and iconic muses of Man Ray’s fashion photography.
Glass Tears Eyeshadow Palette (CAD $62)
This palette has six richly pigmented eyeshadows in new, limited edition shades. The shade range is matte and shimmering to create anything from soft to smoldering effects. The packaging is sturdy and high quality as usual for Nars and the picture on the packaging contemplates with the name of the palette.

The Kiss Velvet Matte Lip Pencil Set (CAD $62)
This limited edition gifting set is Sephora exclusive and has four full-size Velvet Matte Lip Pencils. The Velvet Matte Lip Pencil is one of the other coveted product from the brand. I have repurchased the Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in one of my favorite shade Cruella many times which I have both in my bag and on my vanity, as I am a fan of the formula, never dries out my lips and color payoff is good, along with staying time.
In this set, there are two new limited edition and two existing shades which are sealed with a golden kiss of a cosmetic case. The cosmetic case as you can see in the pictures as well, the quality and details of lips is beautiful, definitely a great gift as well as a purchase for yourself.

Photogloss Lip Lacquer – Zambeze – red hazelnut
The Kiss Velvet Matte Lip Pencil Set shades:

As mentioned, I am a fan of this formula since few years and these are definitely a keeper. The Kiss Velvet Matte Lip Pencil Set is available at Sephora and Sephora Canada.
Overall I am really impressed with the collection of shades both in the eyeshadow palette as well as the Velvet Matte Lip Pencils.
Nars Love Triangles
Nars Love Triangles (CAD $32) are the collection of the famous shades from Nars Blush and the complimenting Nars Lipstick. They are perfect for gifting as well as keeping them in your bag for on-the-go. I do own the full sizes of Orgasm blush and Dolce Vita blush but these are so cute and will be great travel partners for me. If you want to try any of the shades available along with the lipstick, these are the perfect little sets. The quality and the color payoff is same as the original full sizes.
Nars Love Triangle – Orgasm has universally flattering Orgasm shade in a mini blush and Lipstick. Orgasm blush is a peachy pink shade with golden shimmer. Orgasm lipstick is a peachy pink shade with golden shimmer and satin finish. Nars Love Triangle Orgasm is available at Sephora and Sephora.ca.

The excitement of holiday season is already here with this beautiful Man Ray for Nars Holiday 2017 Collection. Okay first of all, if you do not know, Man Ray was an American Visual Artist who spent most of his career in France. He was a renowned representative of avant-garde photography in the 20th-century and is considered as the pioneer of Surrealist photography. Ray’s artistic work is very diverse. He was a painter, object artist, and a filmmaker. He was the very first artist whose images were more valuable to collectors than his artistic work. He, therefore, made a significant contribution to the evaluation of photography as a form of art. And when you see the collection with his name, it has to be more Artistic as he was. The moment I glanced at the collection, I knew Nars Cosmetics has done it again, with the collection of products, shades, packaging, and formula.
The moment I glanced at the collection, I knew Nars Cosmetics has done it again, with the collection of products, shades, packaging, and formula. From the collection reviewed in this post, the swatch for Photogloss Lip Lacquer – Zambeze – red hazelnut is in the next post linked here.
NARS x Man Ray Blush – Fetishized (CAD $38)
When it comes to blushes, Nars is an authority, I do own few blushes from Nars which are one of my favorite formula’s and I trust them for their staying power too. Just one swipe of the blush and it gives the healthiest natural color to cheeks which enlivens the complexion. Also, the collection of shades is really versatile and will suit most of the skin tones.
Fetishized Blush is a Pink grapefruit shade which looks very bright in the packaging but on the skin, it looks very flattering. One single swipe and I have beautiful flush to the cheeks. The formula is same as the other Nars blushes which are very fine and easily blendable. The finish is described shimmery but once applied, there is no shimmer or sparkle but only glow. The formula, as other Nars Blushes, is long-wearing and it lasted on me for the whole day without any touch-ups.
NARS x Man Ray Duo Eyeshadow – Montparnasse (CAD $43)
First of all, I liked the name of this eyeshadow Duo when I first heard of it as it reminds me of my first trip to Paris when I visited the area. As the blushes, eyeshadow duos from Nars are as famous and loved due to their formula and shades. Montparnasse Duo Eyeshadow has shimmering gold on the left side and Iridescent Orchid on the right side.
The duo is so dynamic and can be combined to create endless effects. Both shades compliment each other and can be worn alone too. There is nothing better when you have a versatile eyeshadow duo which you can use any time of the day. The formula is very fine and easily blendable. With primer, they stay put throughout the day on my oily lids.
NARS x Man Ray Velvet Eyeliner (CAD $31)
Nars eyeliners are known for their formula and shade range. In Man Ray for Nars Holiday 2017 Collection, the limited edition velvet eyeliner, Nagoya Velvet Eyeliner, is a violet shade.
The formula is very smooth, creamy, and glides easily. It can be used in multiple ways, to blend, smudge, and intensify the eyes. This is a unique shade and will look nice this holiday season as well as summer.
NARS x Man Ray: Overexposed Glow Highlighter (CAD $52)
Overexposed Glow Highlighter is described to give the second-skin luminosity in a universally flattering shade. The embossing on the highlighter is the first thing that catches the eye. The next thing is the formula, it is very smooth and buttery. I have medium tan skin and this highlighter seriously looks like the second skin, it blends in so well with the skin and the shade is so beautiful.
It provides a beautiful glow minus any glitter or sparkle. Another thing is the highlighter looks more champagne from one angle and more golden from other angle but the end results are very flattering.
I would totally recommend the products I reviewed in this post, it is really difficult for me to pick one. Man Ray For Nars Holiday 2017 Collection is available at Sephora.ca, Hudson’s Bay, thebay.com, and Nordstrom.
Stay tuned for the next post with the review and swatches of Man Ray for Nars Gifting Collection!

Being a fan of Eve Lom Cleansing balm, it was natural for me to be excited for the new Eve Lom Gel Balm Cleanser from the brand. I do love a good balmy or gel kind of cleanser, especially for my first cleanse in the evening and first cleanse in the morning. Coming from the brand with the cult favorite balm cleanser, this naturally had to have high expectations. I have been using this cleanser as my first cleanse in the evening to remove makeup or sunscreen and then as a first cleanse in the mornings most of the days in the week to give it a good try before writing this review.
Eve Lom Gel Balm Cleanser (CAD $78 – 100ml) is claimed to deliver the ultimate cleanse that Eve Lom is famed for in an easy to use gel balm texture. As the Gel Balm Cleanser is massaged into the wet skin, it gently transforms into a milky balm texture that leaves skin soothed and blissfully soft. Unlike traditional gel cleansers that leave skin feeling tight and dry, this cleanser is fortified with moisturizing Shea Butter and nourishing Grapeseed Oil and is clinically proven to moisturize skin for up to 12 hours after use. The hybrid gel-to-balm formula is enriched with our iconic signature blend of Clove, Eucalyptus, Hops and Chamomile Oil which are proven to dissolve impurities and all traces of makeup, including waterproof mascara. When combined with the Shea Butter base, a lightweight botanical aroma is created.
As for the first cleanse, it has worked really well at removing my makeup. My skin was not irritated or had any breakouts when I was using this. It is advised to be used on wet skin but I have liked it both ways, on the wet skin as well as on the dry face followed by a massage and then emulsifying with warm water. My skin felt clean and nice, no dryness residue. Just to be safe, I do follow up with a double cleanse in the evening. But in the morning, I just use this cleanser either on my wet face or directly onto my dry skin, massage it and then emulsify it while massaging.
The aroma of this product is quite noticeable but I do like spices and scent of all things natural, so it was a pleasing and relaxing experience everytime massaging this onto the skin. The Clove in this cleanser is a great ingredient to help with acne, blemishes, and pigmentation. Eucalyptus is both anti=bacterial and anti-inflammatory, Chamomile is a natural soothing agent for skin, and Hops is a nice antioxidant. So, Overall it is a nice cleanser and is going to be the perfect skin partner for cleansing my face, moreover, if you are thinking to start using a gel balm cleanser, it is the perfect weather to get started, that is how my affair with gal balm and balm cleansers started.
Have you tried the Eve Lom Gel Balm Cleanser or the Original Cleanser from Eve Lom?

Hair care is a part of self-care and keeping the scalp and hair healthy plays an important role when it comes to how you feel about yourself. There are days when my scalp is itchy, irritated, and flaky, which makes me look out for products that will relieve me from the stress and the action of my hand going to my scalp every time I feel the itch. Phyto Paris Phytopolleine Botanical Scalp Treatment has been with me since few years and I have repurchased it a few times already. The only issue is the bottle is really cute but very small, like each bottle serves me four to five uses for my medium wavy hair. But it has worked really well for me, that is the biggest plus point. Anyways let me go to some details from the Phyto Paris and how it worked for me in detail.
Phyto Paris Phytopolleine Botanical Scalp Treatment (CAD $53 – 25ml) is described as a potent blend of essential oils that balances the scalp and deters dandruff. It instantly purifies and stimulates the scalp with the natural extracts of rosemary, sage, cypress, eucalyptus, and lemon. It is defined to be an ideal scalp treatment to energize and fortify sensitive, weak and anemic hair. It is recommended for those suffering from an unbalanced scalp whether is dry, oily, itchy, or irritated.
For itchy, irritated, flaky or dandruff, the reason can be anyone amongst environmental, seasonal, hormonal or other health problem but the outcomes are almost same when you experience it. For me, my scalp tends to get itchy and irritated during the time when the season changes and also when I am using some styling products and not using a deep cleanser for my scalp which I should do every other week or so. There can be multiple factors which I may be missing, like the stress of day to day life can have a different kind of impact on different people or I might have a deficiency of something, most of the times, my family physician recommends me Vitamin B12 or Vitamin D which I am consistently low on. Anyways, I will come to the main point, how this scalp treatment worked for me.
I have used this scalp treatment as a pre-shampoo treatment and also as an overnight treatment. I do prefer to keep it overnight but works well in 20 minutes when I am in hurry. I section my hair, apply the oil through dropper nozzle and then massage my scalp. And that’s it. I feel my scalp is calm and soothed after the message with this scalp treatment. My hand does not go towards my scalp and does make me feel good about my scalp. Don’t forget to shampoo twice as I feel there is still oil in my hair after the first wash. After washing my hair, I feel the flakiness and itchiness are reduced after first used and with consistent use, I do feel the improvement. Moreover applying this and massaging it, inhaling the aroma of the essential oils does make a difference towards a healthier scalp. And healthier scalp means no itchiness, flakiness and a step towards good environment for hair growth.
This is a keeper for me, and I have repurchased it multiple times. Phyto Paris Phytopolleine Botanical Scalp Treatment is available at Phyto Canada, Sephora Canada, Beautyboutique by Shoppers Drug Mart.
