By Terry had launched the most awaited products and a new addition to the Hyaluronic Hydra range called Hyaluronic Pressed Hydra-Powder. I love By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder (reviewed here) so much that it is a staple in a makeup routine. Inside, I always wished for a pressed version of the powder so that I can keep it in my bag for easy travel with it. When I got a sneak peek of this new launch initially, I could not contain my happiness within – finally it is here. By Terry Hyaluronic Pressed Hydra-Powder is the same favourite powder of mine in pressed version.
Hyaluronic Pressed Hydra-Powder is infused with Hyaluronic acid – means you not just setting your makeup but also applying something that is beneficial as well as soothing to the skin. It is perfect to set the makeup, mattify the complexion, blurs the imperfections – while keeping the skin comfortable and non-drying. Hyaluronic Pressed Hydra-Powder is housed in a beautiful decent weight compact and there is a complimentary puff included inside along with a decent size mirror to use on the go. The powder is weightless and has a very silky texture. Not just that, there is no scent.
The powder is colourless means once universal shade for all skin tones and skin types. It does not leave any white cast on the skin. For me personally, I use it on my problem areas (if any during the time) or on my t-zone where I get the most oil. It does not totally mattify but keep the skin looking natural matte without shine or oil. It also blurs the problem areas without irritating the area but is very soothing at the same time.
And even when I have a breakout or irritated skin, it does not dries out the area or emphasize the area but makes the skin look more even. It also keeps the makeup put for a good time, for me personally, I set my makeup once in the morning and then I do a touch-up once or twice during the day or sometimes not even once depending on my schedule – this powder is just amazing.
Along with this new By Terry Hyaluronic Pressed Hydra-Powder, I am also loving By Terry Summer Launches for this year 2020 here and here. By Terry products are available at byterry.com, Nordstrom, Holt Renfrew, Barney NY, Beautylish, Spacenk, Cult Beauty, Netaporter.*Press samples
Since this unusual situation started early this year and we are staying inside the house most of the time, one thing I have been keeping consistent is my hair care routine. I have been able to try and use some staples and some new hair care products in my routine. Today, I am sharing three hair care products from Moroccanoil which I included in my hair care routine since last few weeks and I am using them regularly. The products are Dry Scalp Treatment, Weightless Hydrating Mask, and Curl Defining Cream.
Moroccanoil Dry Scalp Treatment is a pre-shampoo treatment, Weightless Hydrating Mask is after shampooing the hair while still in the shower, and Curl Defining Cream is after hair wash. I am happy to report that these three products have made a noticeable difference in my scalp and hair overall. Just to let you know that I have sensitive and problem scalp that gets buildup and dandruff easily while the lengths are dry and rough. My hair is medium wavy for which I use heat most of the time but I have not used heat since I started working from home. I personally feel that is also one of the reasons my hair looks and feels healthy to me. I think the products I am using work better and show results better this way.
Moroccanoil Dry Scalp Treatment addresses the needs of a dry and flaky scalp. It revives the scalp and relieves it from itchiness, dryness, and irritation. The formula is very concentrated yet lightweight and spreads easily when applied and massaged. It is infused with antioxidant-rich argan oil, lavender, and geranium essential oil which nourished and soothes the skin. The salicylic acid in the treatment gently exfoliates to reduce flakiness while improving circulation. I use it as a pre-shampoo treatment, massage gently while applying it, then keep it for 15-20 minutes, and then follow with shampoo and conditioner. since I started using it, I am really not sure why I have not tried this treatment before, despite being a long time fan of Moroccanoil products, especially their Moroccanoil Treatment Original, Perfect Defense, and the body care products (reviewed here). For my soothed and comfortable scalp, this Dry Treatment Scalp is definitely going to be a staple from now on.
Moroccanoil Weightless Hydrating Mask is a moisturizing mask for dry and lifeless hair. The mask is creamy and rich, yet lightweight and deep-conditioning for hair. It conditions and hydrates the fine hair while weighing them down or making them greasy or oily. I feel my hair is alive, they are smooth, shiny, look and feel healthy, are more manageable. I apply it after shampooing, on towel-dried hair, keep it on for 5-7 minutes and then rinse thoroughly.
Moroccanoil Curl Defining Cream is an argan-oil infused cream which is one of the best sellers from the brand. This is another product which I am feeling like why I have not tried it before. With this curl defining cream, my hair is hydrated without being oily or greasy or frizzy, it does not weigh down my hair, it provides texture to hair, and last but not the least, my waves/curls look natural yet defines and healthy. I apply 1-2 pumps of this cream on towel-dried hair, distribute it throughout the hair and then let the hair dry naturally since I am not going out a lot these days except for groceries.
My hair is looking and feeling the healthiest if I compare them to how they were in the last few years. I am really enjoying Moroccanoil Dry Scalp Treatment, Weightless Hydrating Mask, and Curl Defining Cream for my hair and definitely recommend you to check them out. Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these products or if you have any questions regarding these. Moroccanoil products are available at Sephora Canada and Morroccanoil official website here.*Press samples
Charlotte Tilbury has some amazing launches which I have been really excited about including the Airbrush Bronzer and the Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir which I am loving in my everyday routine for makeup and lip care. Apart from the new launches, I am loving an eye shadow palette from the brand which has beautiful warm tones and lipstick perfect for the summers. And one more thing before I go ahead with the details and my thoughts about the new launches – I noticed I have not shared about my favourite foundation and concealer from the brand which I have used for so long now – I did share many times on my Instagram though.
Airbrush Bronzer is a new matte bronzer that has a fine as air and smooth-as-silk formula to give a glowing, sun-kissed, beautiful bronzed complexion. The bronzer is easy to apply and blends nicely into the skin. It does not look flat, ashy, or orangey on the skin. The formula is Hyaluronic Acid infused, which means it moisturizes the skin while still looking matte. Apart from providing the smoothing and bronze effect on the skin, I do feel it blurs out my problem areas and does not emphasize them. For my medium skin tone with tan undertones, shade ‘Tan’ is perfect for me. It gives a beautiful natural golden glow and warmth to my skin – or I may say perfect sun-kissed look. In regards to the packaging, the compact is fairly big if compared to the Airbrush powder from Charlotte Tilbury. The compact also comes with a mirror. Airbrush Bronzer definitely is another must-have from Charlotte, I highly recommend.
Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir is a new crystal-infused lip oil which hydrates, smooths, and enhances the lips. I have been using this day and night – as a lip balm as well as a topper on a lipstick, it is so good. It is very nourishing and caring for the lips, hydrates and smooths them while keeping the lips look glossy and supple. The application of this lip oil with the crystal rollerball is my favourite part – the crystal roller ball feels so cold and refreshing on the lips. The lip oil melts instantly onto the lips and improves the appearance of lips while providing the nourishment. It is not sticky or greasy or feels heavy on the lips but is very comfortable. It is definitely a new staple for me – and not to forget, I do like the cute little tube with the crystal rollerball applicator – very practical.
Luxury Palette in ‘Queen of Glow’ is an eyeshadow palette with sunset gold and glowing copper shades. It features four divine, sun-cascading shades of warm-bronze, gold, champagne, and copper. The formula is finely milled and pigmented, blends in easily without looking harsh or shedding. This palette is perfect to create a sun-kissed, radiant-looking look – not just for a poolside event but also for an occasion – I can already see myself wearing this in the next family or friends event with my Indian outfits.
Luxury Palette in ‘The Glamour Muse’ is another palette I have shared with you on my Instagram but swatching it here. The palette has wisteria-grey, silver, and violet shades. I see the palette is discontinued on the official website.
There is a new lipstick which I am loving and I think is perfect for summer called Matte Revolution Sexy Sienna. It is a golden coral matte lipstick that brightens up the look without being overpowering. I have loved this formula in the past and do have few lipsticks on rotation. The lipstick formula is not drying despite being matte, keeps the lips hydrated and comfortable. The formula is buildable and long-lasting while giving the perfect soft matte finish.
I know there is already a new foundation from Charlotte Tilbury, I have not tried it yet but I want to share about the one I have loved so much since I started using it last year. Magic Foundation is a demi-matte, medium to full buildable coverage, a long-lasting foundation that not only looks natural and beautiful on my skin but also makes my complexion look supple. It is hydrating and feels very comfortable on the skin without irritating my skin. It does not feel heavy or cakey once applied. I love how natural and radiant my skin looks when I apply this foundation. The creamy formula blends nicely without looking like a mask. For my combination skin, I do apply airbrush powder on the t-zone with a soft hand. I would say it that I am able to get through the whole day without touch up, just to mention that I am okay with a little extra glow by the end of the day when the natural oils of my skin mix with the formula. I use shade 8 in Magic Foundation which is for medium skin with yellow undertones.
Magic Away Concealer is another staple in my makeup that I love so much. It is a full-coverage liquid concealer that works to improve the look of dark circles, blemishes, and imperfections. The skin looks natural and fresh. I use it under my eye area and a little on the center of my forehead to make them look fresh, alive, and radiant. The formula is very lightweight, blends quickly, and does not look cakey. I use shade 7 which is a golden sand shade for medium skin with neutral and warm undertones.
Overall, I love the new Airbrush Bronzer and the Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir while for the rest of the products I mentioned about in this post, I have been using them for a while now and are staples.
