I had my first OB/Gynae appointment today. I had the same doctor during my first baby and when asked by my family doctor last month if i have any choice for the specialist, i chose her again. Waiting times were as usual long, then i had my urine test to check for protein. After waiting for 35min, it was my turn. Doctor went through the reports and ultrasounds that my family doctor forwarded to her. And then was the moment when she told me that my PAPP A levels are low but i shouldn’t worry about it. As my nature is to go till the roots of the thing, i asked more about it. She told me PAPP A levels depict the functioning of the placenta and the growth of baby. She will need to monitor if the placenta is working properly by the growth of baby, and i will have regular ultrasounds for it.
Obviously, i am tensed and searching internet for stuff related to it where people have posted their experiences but still there is something inside me that reassures me and tells me to stay positive and pray for the best.
Thank God for helping me recover from the sickness. I was sick for last 5 days, never been this bad. I had cold, sore throat before but this was the worst. I am still not sure if it was flu or what as it was not something i had before. And due to the deadline at office, i was working from home, sneezing and working.
In India, it was always nice to have someone beside you when you are sick or for any reason, but since the time i came here, i knew i have to be self-dependent, this country is for the independent people. But still i miss my Mom’s care and love, her making food for me, asking me things all the time, checking on my sickness, not letting me out of the bed. Now that i am not a teenager, nor i am single, i am married with the amazing husband and have an amazing little daughter, baby no. 2 on the way, i should be less expecting and more giving.
As i am pregnant, i couldn’t take any medicine or over-the counter stuff except Regular Tylenol. Google’d for some medicines that i could take and got few on the list, just to be safe i called my family physician’s office. Doctor told me to get plenty of rest, drink a lot of fluids, water with salt gargles and steam. If there is fever or aches, then go for regular Tylenol. And if nothing gets better after 3-4 days, then to check with her back. So i had no option, but to be on bed and rest and rest…
What i did : Took Tylenol twice in 4 days, hot water steam daily, used my daughters salinex nose drops and her Tylenol syrup for cold and sore throat for kids twice, gargled with salt and warm water many times, warm water with honey soothed my throat, lots of water and rest…
Feeling really better today and want to do all the stuff i couldn’t in the last few days… starting from laundry to cleaning and cooking 🙂
I got the Clinique chubby sticks samples few months back and from day one, i am in love with them as i never i have been with any lip product before. I am not a very lipsticky person, even after my marriage, i used it rarely and that too when someone from family pointed out that i dont look like a newly married because of less makeup, as in India makeup and bright dresses are expected to be worn by the newly weds.
And here after 5 years of marriage, i have finally liked some lip product and that suits my taste too. Clinique chubby stick is hydrating as well as imparts a very nice shade to my lips, both natural and shiny. Also, the color of chubby stick i got in the sample was something which made me stick to the products for this long. I was using it before my pregnancy and still continuing with it.
I bought it in Two Ton Tomato and Super Strawberry, and got few as samples which i have been using since last 3 months and will go for more.
Totally recommend it.
After trying for many kinds of panties from various stores and still uncomfortable, i finally got the one that topped in my list of comfort. I usually prefer the one’s with full coverage as i am already feeling large. And moreover, i got it on sale from Motherhood Maternity. In stores, my size was all sold out but i found it online and got two 3-piece orders.
They are comfortable, not too stretchy or tight on my waist, not too loose, just the right-combination of everything.
Also, ordered some blouses and t-shirts on sale as the shipping was not free, so put some more things in my cart.
I remember during my first pregnancy, i was fairly new here and knew of just one maternity store – Thyme but now, i know of many options. Its always good when you have choices.
What it claims: Clarins claim it as the No 1 selling body oil with 100% pure plant extracts, helps firm, tone and improve elasticity, smoothing the appearance of stretch marks, leaves the skin soft and supple. And it is preservative free.
How it looks: It is light yellow in color and consistency is of thick oil.
Time period i used it before writing this review: 2 months
Ingredients: Field mint, Geranium, Hazelnut, Rosemary, Hazelnut oil(as per the clarins website)
Packaging: 100ml glass bottle, bottle quality is nice ans sturdy. 100ml is the only size it is available in i believe.
Fragrance: It has the natural fragrance of all the plants it is extracted from, i really liked the mint kind of fragrance and developed a nice sense of well-being.
My Review: I was thinking to buy this product since a long time as it is good to firm up the skin but finally i purchased it in my 3rd month of pregnancy, although it is expensive, 100ml for $58. The smell of the oil is really very nice, i know the senses are very sensitive at this time in pregnancy and can initiate headache also, but to me, i really liked it. On the first day i tried it after the bath when my body was still damp, same is also suggested on the product cover. I stressed it more on my tummy as it was really itchy and couldn’t control and my hand went their scratching and rubbing it. i felt nice the first day. After noon, my scritchy-scratchy routine starts but it was different this day. I was happy and kept the same routine every day, although i didnt applied on my damp body everyday but even when my body was dry. Also, i applied it once a day, but it can be applied multiple times for which the need not arised. As my bottle was approaching it half, and it is expensive too, i concentrated more on my tummy and thighs, and started to look for other options that are safe and not very expensive.
Overall, i just loved this product, my skin felt really soft, supple and moisturized for a long time. It never felt greasy or oily, just the right consistency to be absorbed by the skin that is stretching and fragile. I will definitely recommend it.
Hopefully i will think of buying my second bottle soon, i wish it was not too expensive but good things come with price. 😉
I will be writing a review on my next pregnancy moisturizer soon.
