Dior Glow Addict Collection by Peter Philips is all about the light at the heart. By magnifying the color of feminity in all of its ambivalence, Peter Philips reinterprets the iconic pink in an infinitely glowy palette with bold and pastel on the lids and glowy face.
From the official Dior website, “Featured in several palettes of pink, the springtime glow takes on multiple forms in Peter Philips’s imagination. Celebrating the iconic pink so dear to the house of Dior, the Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup brings us a truly feminine and glowy collection for spring: Glow Addict. Lips are enhanced, eyes are accentuated with rosy harmonies, and nails flaunt petal-like hues. Diverse and confident, pink packs a bold, multi-faceted punch this season, the very image of the Dior woman.”
I recently attended the Dior Event for the launch of the Spring 2018 makeup in Canada along with the new skin care products that I will feature in my upcoming posts. Spring is all about color, freshness, and life. The collection for spring 2018 depicts the same freshness, color, and vibrancy like spring. I am reviewing two most talked about products from the collection and the Lip Glow Addicts that I will feature in a separate post. Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Glow Addict Edition and 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow palette Glow Addict Edition which are both limited edition.
Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Glow Addict Edition – Holographic Gold 002
Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Glow Addict Edition is designed to sculpt and enhance the complexion with the intense glow. Highly concentrated in holographic pearlescent pigments, its lightweight texture blends seamlessly with the skin, bathing it in shimmering shades of light. For naturally glowing skin, this powder is available in two spring shades, embossed to evoke the delicate tulle of a couture dress. The shade I am reviewing and swatching here is Holographic Gold 002.
It is a gold peachy iridescent color that is more on the sparkly side, and depending on your taste, it could be well suited. For me, It would be great for the evenings and for the Indian parties where I need that extra sparkle, not the chunky kind of extra but noticeable. I keep my makeup and highlighter subtle during the daytime due to my work environment but that is just me. For everyday use, I will stick to my Dior Diorskin Nude Air Lumizer in shade 004 reviewed here. The formula is smooth, blends easily into the skin and the staying power is good. The Holographic Pink 001 shade is suited for cool-toned radiance while Holographic Gold 002 is for the warmer toned radiance.
5 Couleurs Eyeshadow palette Glow Addict Edition – 667 Flirt
5 Couleurs Eyeshadow palette Glow Addict Edition is renewed with two blossom-bright palettes for this collection: one is electric, one more pastel. The palette I am reviewing here is 667 Flirt. This palette has shades – a pastel grey, a rosewood, a rosy taupe, a pearly white, and a contrasting black. The shades of the palette and the embossing on it are so beautiful like you just want to buy it for that. It looks so girly and springs like, like that feeling of newness and joy. The formula is very finely milled, blends easily and the finish is very smooth with a little sheen. The shades have a nice pigment and are buildable.
Overall, both Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Glow Addict Edition and 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow palette Glow Addict Edition are worth checking out, both for makeup starters, makeup lovers and for collectors too.
Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Glow Addict Edition and 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow palette Glow Addict Edition are available to be purchased at Sephora, Sephora Canada, Beauty Boutique, Hudson’s Bay and all the Dior retailers.
I attended the launch of Aura Mugler by Mugler which is a new fragrance last week. The decor and ambiance were so much in the spirit of love for art, life, and freedom, I have the pictures from the event in my Instagram highlights if you are interested. Aura Mugler embodies the spirit of women who love life. All those women who, free of prejudice and dogma, are ready to explore their desires and travel the path to self-discovery. All those who long for authenticity, who are searching for their singularity. All those who rely on instinct to become exceptions in an exceptional world. And so is the catching line “Will you dare to listen to your inner voice?”
Aura, the name starts with ‘A’ like Angel, a*Men, and Alien. Aura is described as more than a name, It is a presence, a lucky charm. The nose behind the fragrance is Daphne Bugey, Amandine Clerc Marie, Christophe Raynaud, and Marie Salamagne.
The bottle was proposed by Thierry Mugler and sculpted by an artist before being produced industrially, this object has the mark of a work of art. The volume of the heart was chiseled in glass and set in a metal “M”.
As mentioned, Aura was born from a shared love of art and expertise. Beyond fragrance, more than an olfactory experience, it is a masterful orchestration that combines five substances, three hearts, two overdoses and one magnetic field.
To incarnate this new feminity, Zhenya Katava is the face, a young woman with a multicultural and multi-ethnic look, and the universal beauty of an archetype.
The fragrance is a woody aromatic fragrance for women and features the notes of rhubarb leaf, tiger liana, orange blossom, bourbon vanilla, and Wolfwood.
Oriental Botanical Carnal
The Beating Heart – Tiger Liana
The Botanical Heart – Rhubarb Leaf & Orange Blossom
The Animal Heart – Bourbon Vanilla & Wolfwood
Two Overdoses – Tiger Liana & Rhubarb Leaf
The fragrance is an exotic floral to me, with musky overtones. A light spray is what I need and is enough to achieve a quick dry-down. It would be suitable for formal events, or gatherings and parties that are glamorous. There is indeed something wild, magical and mysterious about this fragrance that goes with that “Inner Instinct”, the bottle is so enchanting and like a piece of jewel. The face of the fragrance is just perfect.

I have been using the products recommended for my combination skin since last few months on and off, finally used it regularly for few weeks to have my thoughts ready for the review. I have been using the Votre Vu Peau Équilibrée balancing sérum and Votre Vu Peau Équilibrée 24/7 balancing crème, which is suitable for combination as well as oily skin tones. Even for my combination skin, I did not notice any dryness but was very gentle on my skin.
Votre Vu Peau Équilibrée balancing sérum
Votre Vu Peau Équilibrée balancing sérum is described as the concentrated serum that helps diffuse inflammation, regulate sebum production, and restore the equilibrium of the natural pH levels of the skin calmly, while refining and evening out skin’s texture. The gel formula is loaded with a mixture of gentle ingredients to help soothe skin, tighten pores, improve the appearance of fine lines and uneven skin tone, and aid in clearing up congested pores. The green tea in the formula allows a mix of radiance-boosting antioxidants and powerful AHAs to go to work, without irritation potential. Additionally, natural oat and corn powders absorb excess oil without any residue. The skin is clearer, soothed and balanced.
Votre Vu Peau Équilibrée 24/7 balancing crème
Votre Vu Peau Équilibrée 24/7 balancing crème is described to have a luxurious residue-free texture that works to purify the complexion while it heals imperfections, reduces inflammation and hydrates the skin to it comfortable level. the formula has a coactive complex of vitamins and amino acids work to reduce sebum production. The vegetable-based squalane, which has a composition similar to skin, restores your skin’s natural protective barrier. The skin will look velvety matte, properly moisturized, with a clearer, welcoming, silky-soft texture.
I have been using both the Votre Vu Peau Équilibrée balancing sérum and Votre Vu Peau Équilibrée 24/7 balancing crème together and they work quite well. There is no residue, the formula sinks into the skin nicely and the skin feels comfortable. The products that are designed for oily or combination skin usually makes the skin dry or matte but for my combination skin, my skin felt comfortable, without irritability or dry feeling. My skin has been behaving quite well these days and these products helped it keep that way, I mean no breakouts or congestion while using this pair of serum and moisturizer. During the day, my makeup had no issues while applying and during the day. The texture of both the products is very soft and luxurious. The packaging, as you see in the shots is so pretty, the jar is heavy and sturdy for the moisturizer and the serum is in the bottle with pump dispenser.
Votre Vu products are exclusively sold online through Votre Vu website.
