Givenchy Beauty has some amazing new launches which I am really enjoying and so glad to share with you today. The launches are not limited to limited-edition makeup launches but many new products are added in the permanent range of the house like the new Le Rose Perfecto Liquid Lip Balm – I gave you the hint what is my new favourite lip care and colour product.
Starting with my new favourite lip product, Le Rose Perfecto Liquid Lip Balm which is not just a lip balm but all you need anywhere kind of product for lips. The tinted liquid formula of this couture lip balm nourishes, repairs, protects, plumps, smooths and imparts colour to the lips. My super dry lips look and feel so nourished and comfortable, not just for the time the product is on my lips but even after it has worn off. One of those products which repair and protect.
The shades provide a natural colour along with a healthy glow effect to the lips. The melt-away formula applies nicely without being sticky or heavy. There is a slight tingle on the lips after I apply this liquid balm and normalizes quickly. The sleek pink-beige leather packaging is just so beautiful, definitely can relate to my favourite Le Rouge Perfecto Beautifying Lip Balm. There are 3 shades I have on rotation and swatched below: 10, 23, 40.
Frosted Nude 10 – A universal nude with subtle bluish undertones that flatter all skin tones
Solar Pink 23 – An evanescent coral radiant with extremely fine golden shimmer for a fresh look
Purple Ride 40 – A vibrant, bold violet
Next up is the New Teint Couture City Balm is a perfecting skin tint that not only provides medium coverage like foundation but the formula has a weightless feel like a tinted moisturizer. The silky-soft formula evens out the skin for a natural finish which does not look or feels heavy. It is very comfortable to wear, giving the feeling of bare skin. It is hydrating at the same, to the extent where it is not oily but just hydrated and naturally radiant.
The formula with SPF25-PA++ has skincare ingredients focused on providing a smart shield to protect skin against pollution, UV rays, and blue light emitted by digital screens. The longevity is pretty good, I did not feel the need to reapply or touch-up for the whole day while testing this out, even afterwards, I am wearing it almost every day – it is that comfortable and looks very natural. It is available in 14 shades, divided into 3 undertones and I have swatched two shades for your reference.
Now, coming to the most exciting launch – there is a new reformulated version of the iconic Prisme Libre. Givenchy Prisme Libre, the iconic 4-shade loose powder which has been the cult-favourite since it launched in 2006, is now reformulated. The look and feel of the formula stay the same while the performance is top-notch too. The formula is loved for how it blurs problem areas, mattifies the skin without drying, and provides a natural radiance to the skin. It is very lightweight and airy, the ultra-fine texture imparts a sheer, glowing finish without caking up or feeling heavy.
The powder is enclosed in a sculptural case engraved with iconic 4G logo and is available in 6 harmonies. I use a powder brush or the enclosed puff to apply it. I use the method – Shake, Stamp, Blend to apply and blend it – this has been my go-to way since I started using it few years back. Powder brush works well for more lightweight result while puff works well for even and precise application. The powder can be used alone over moisturizer or over the foundation or tinted moisturizer.
For me, shade 4 Mousseline Acidulee – for medium skin tones works perfectly. There are four unique shades – two for radiance and two for colour correction. All the shades work together upon application to address the shades of the specific skin tone(for me Shade 4). This finely milled powder looks transparent on my skin, my problem areas are blurred, and matte finish which is more of a naturally radiant. My makeup base lasts longer when I am using it as a setting powder. And also, when I am using it over my moisturizer or sunscreen, I feel my look is put together, looking radiant and imperfections are blurred.
Next up is the Le Rouge Deep Velvet Matte Lipstick. It is a very pigmented, powdery matte lipstick that is comfortable to wear and is weightless. It feels creamy when applied and is not drying. It does not accentuate the lines or texture on the lips. One swipe of this lipstick delivers high pigment. There are some really pretty shades available, perfect for fall and winter. The lipstick is adorned in a sumptuous red velvet packaging that looks elegant and sensual, definitely an ultimate couture signature to any look. I have swatched three shades of Le Rouge Deep Velvet Matte Lipstick:
26 Framboise Velours
27 Rouge Infuse – deep cerise red
38 Grenat Fume – merlot red
Overall, amazing new launches – perfect for everyday use as well as for the upcoming fall season. Apart from these new launches, I reviewed and swatched new Couture eyeshadow palettes here a few weeks back. Givenchy Beauty products are available at Holt Renfrew and Sephora.ca.*Press samples
Hair Rituel by Sisley Paris has launched new hair care and hair styling products this fall – Hair Rituel by Sisley Paris Restructuring Nourishing Balm and Hair Brushes. Both the launches are just in time for fall when hair needs extra nourishment and care. Many factors including the external factors like stress, pollution, fatigue, and chemical treatments, all impact the hair quality and health – the intensity depending upon the type of hair and what haircare products are being used to care for hair. If not cared properly, hair is prone to breakage, split ends, and become dull and lifeless.
Hair Rituel by Sisley Paris Restructuring Nourishing Balm is a pre-shampoo balm that intensely cares for damaged and dehydrated hair. The texture is rich and melts, when it comes in contact with hands, into a sensory oil, making it easy to apply to hair and to penetrate into the lengths and tips. The balm has a nourishing complex that is concentrated in natural oils and these natural oils action on three levels to treat, regenerate, and enhance the hair fibre. It is not to be applied on the scalp.
I have been using it as a weekly ritual as well as a little pick me up during the week. I feel my hair are soft, shinier, nourished, frizz-free, and healthy instead of the normal dry and coarse hair during the week. They are much more manageable then they were before. My hair look and feel stronger and luscious without being weighed down or oily. I would suggest to keep in mind how much of the Restructuring Balm you apply, based on your hair type and volume. For me personally, I have had the experience before to start with the minimal product and then build it up, which worked for me in this case too. I do not go overboard but apply minimal and notice the results during the day or days. A little less than pea size amount works for my medium wavy hair.
The Restructuring Balm can be used in 3 ways per the official instructions:
Overnight Treatment (8 hours – go to bed with the balm on the lengths and tips of hair, and rinse out in the morning. It does not stains the pillow case. Also, remember not to apply on the scalp).
Express Treatment ( 30 minutes – apply 30 minutes to 1 hour before washing the hair)
One month course of treatment (Applied once a week to help with nourishment, number of splits)
Now coming to the basics for hair care, the first and foremost thing you can do for your hair and scalp is brush them. Brushing helps spread sebum to the tips of the hair for nourishment, stimulate micro-circulation in the scalp, clears impurities, and dead skin cells. It is so important to brush the hair and scalp and even more important to use the right comb or hair and right way. Because using any harsh or hard material on the scalp and hair in a incorrect way can weaken and damage the hair and scalp. I am so glad to be using and now sharing the recently launched Hair Rituel by Sisley Paris Hair Brushes which I am totally in love with. my scalp and hair love how gentle they are. The brushes are comprised of wild boar bristles, which also contain keratin and are similar to the composition of hair. The supple bristles with the blue ball tips help to stimulate the scalp. The handles are specially made of schima wood for its toughness and beautiful finish. I have The Radiance Brush and The Blow Dry Brush 2 on rotation.
The Radiance Brush is suitable for everyday use, for all hair lengths and textures. It gently detangles and styles the hair. I use it morning and night, my must-have hair rituel everyday to keep my hair and scalp healthy. And one thing that works for me is brushing my hair with a gentle scalp massage before bed makes me sleep so well during the night. Let me know if you have tried it and if it works for you too.
The Blow Dry Brush 2 is a blow-dry brush that is suitable for long hair due to its medium circumference. It works as a perfect staple to style hair while blow-drying – be it waves, straight, or curly finish. I use it every weekend when I am blow drying my hair, which is less than normal, I tend to be lazy now since I started working from home.
I remove any remaining hair from the brush with my fingers or hair brush cleaner tool after each use while I wash my hair brushes every weekend with a gentle shampoo or soap. Then I rinse it and pat it on the towel, then leave the brush to dry upside down.
Overall, these three launches have become my hair care essentials and highly recommend checking them out. Sisley Paris products are available at luxury retailers including Holt Renfrew, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom. It is also available at Sisley- Paris.ca.
