bareMinerals has launched a new lipstick called Mineralist Hydra-Smoothing Lipstick, a clean, mineral-infused vegan lipstick with minimal ingredients. The formula is very creamy and nourishing while providing a high pigment color. As per the official website, this lipstick is made with 19 ingredients – 40% less than the traditional lipsticks – this is pretty amazing to know. I was not aware that a lipstick is made of more than 27 ingredients – this is interesting. Coming back to the newest launch, bareMinerals Mineralist Hydra-Smoothing Lipstick has some really nice, hydrating, nourishing, and replenishing ingredients for smooth, soft, and supple lips.
bareMinerals Mineralist Hydra-Smoothing Lipstick shade ranges from nudest nude to the brightest plum and burgundy shades. Each of the 25 shade is inspired by the healing powers of natural minerals, crystals and gemstones, and features a subtle, uplifting natural scent of Prickly Pear and Acai. Not just hydrating and pigmented, the lipstick also helps nourish the dry lips while smoothing the visible lines on the lips. The packaging of the lipstick looks elegant with a light golden cover and a heavy smooth feel.
The shade description of the shades swatches is below:
Grace – Nude Pink
Focus – Muted Mauve
Memory – Neutral Rose
Honesty – Mauve Pink
Inspiration – Cherry Red
Courage – Classic Red
Optimism – Pink Strawberry
Intuition – Brick Red
Awareness – Rich Rosewood
Perception – Black Raspberry
One single swipe is good enough to get full coverage. It works for me without a lip liner unless I am looking for more precision. The texture is lightweight while the finish is creamy satin. It keeps the lips comfortable and hydrated. As the formula is nourishing, it needs reapplying throughout the day.
Overall, a really beautiful lipstick – both in terms of shade range and formula – perfect for everyday wear. bareMinerals Mineralist Hydra-Smoothing Lipstick is available at Sephora, Sephora.ca, and Nordstrom.*Press samples
Around the same time last year, I shared about Sulwhasoo Bloomstay Collection, here, which I really enjoyed in my skincare routine. The new Sulwhasoo Bloomstay Vitalizing Eye Cream has launched, just in time for spring when everything including the skin is emerging from the harsh winters and changes in weather bring with them the need for extra care of the skin. Sulwhasoo Bloomstay Vitalizing line is inspired by Sulwhasoo’s iconic flower – Plum Blossoms. These resilient flowers bloom even during severely cold weather and snow. Plum Blossoms lift spirits by signifying the coming of spring and end of winter, hence they have become the symbol of overcoming adversities with integrity and faith. Plum Blossom contains a powerful antioxidant that encourages more vitalized and rejuvenated looking skin.
The newest addition to the Sulwhasoo Bloomstay Collection, Sulwhasoo Bloomstay Vitalizing Eye Cream is an eye gel-cream that delivers anti-oxidant energy of plum blossoms to take care of the bags under the eyes, add resilience to the eye area, and makes the eyes look revitalized. There is a massager that comes complimentary with this eye cream, called Jamak Massager, it helps the eye cream to stimulate micro-circulation in the skin around the eyes, and also deliver the immediate cooling effect. The fatigue around the eyes is also minimized. The eye cream feels fresh and bouncy, absorbs quickly into the skin, and the eye area feels hydrated, soothed, radiant, lifted and firm. There is a subtle pleasant scent that fades quickly. The eye cream melts into the skin quickly without leaving residue.
Regarding the packaging, if you see, it is so beautiful and delicate as flowers. The jar, the same as the rest of the range, is heavyweight plastic which feels luxurious and pretty at the same time.
Apart from the Sulwhasoo Bloomstay Vitalizing Eye Cream, I am also loving two face masks from the brand which I have been using together or alone depending on how my skin feels. Sulwhasoo Clarifying Mask and Sulwhasoo Overnight Vitalizing Mask have become my most reached out for masks these days. For my combination skin prone to acne, I was more excited to try the Clarifying Mask but after trying both of them, I am so glad that I tried the Overnight Vitalizing Mask too.
Sulwhasoo Clarifying Mask is a peel-off mask that thoroughly removes dead skin and impurities from the skin, resulting in clear and soft skin. I cleanse my skin and apply the mask on my dry skin, you do not need to put a thick layer of the mask, even a thin layer also works. This mask fits tightly onto the skin, removes impurities and dead skin, tightens the pores making the skin smooth and improving the texture. It did not dry my skin but definitely I would recommend applying something hydrating after the mask. For me, it is either a Hyaluronic Acid Serum or the best one I always use is the Overnight Vitalizing Mask.
Sulwhasoo Overnight Vitalizing Mask is a traditional Korean herbal sleeping mask that is nourishing and helps skin restore its natural radiance. The ingredients strengthen the skin’s protective barrier, moisturizes and soothes the skin while providing the nourishment. At first, I thought it would be heavy for my skin type but as I have used it many times now, it is just perfect. It makes my skin look soft, supple, and radiant the next day, with no breakouts or irritation. This is also perfect for the lazy evenings when I can just cleanse, follow with this mask, and still can wake up with good skin. The formula is light and creamy, absorbs into the skin nicely, does not feel heavy at all.
Overall, I am really impressed with the new eye cream as well as the masks, they have become a staple in my skincare routine for spring and summer. Sulwhasoo Products, Sulwhasoo Bloomstay Vitalizing Eye Cream, Clarifying Mask, Overnight Vitalizing Mask is available at Nordstrom.com and Holt Renfrew.*Press samples
Sisley Paris products have been a staple in my skincare routine for almost a decade, I am currently obsessed with newest launches from the brand – Sisley-Paris Black Rose Eye Contour Fluid (reviewed here) and Sisley-Paris Phyto-Blanc Pure Bright Activating Serum (reviewed here). It is fair to say that these launches are game-changers, I am so so impressed with them. The fastest results I have ever seen in terms of brightening my skin and helping with my dark spots and pigmentation – it is with the new Phyto-Blanc Pure Bright Activating Serum. I have already finished one bottle and started a second one – it is that good! This serum alone started my new love for the Phyto-blanc range. I have two products from the Phyto-blanc range into my skincare routine plus the Gentle Facial Buffing Cream.
I have been religiously following my routine, starting with the Phyto-Blanc Lightening Foaming Cleanser, then following with the Phyto-Blanc Lightening Toning Lotion, Phyto-Blanc Pure Bright Activating Serum, Black Rose Eye Contour Fluid, and finishing off with moisturizer if it is night or moisturizer with SPF if it is a day. I use Gentle Facial Buffing Cream once or twice a week after cleansing and drying my face and neck.
Phyto-Blanc Lightening Foaming Cleanser is a very lightweight, foaming, creamy gel cleanser that gently cleans the skin while maintaining the equilibrium without making the skin uncomfortable or stripping the skin. With regular use, my skin looks clear, clean, even, and bright. I have noticed no breakouts or irritation. I am reaching out for this cleanser every single day.
Phyto-Blanc Lightening Toning Lotion is a very lightly astringent toner that makes sure the makeup is removed and cleanses off any impurities while toning the skin, tightening the look of pores, and leaving the skin comfortable and ready for the next step. I was not expecting this little step would make much difference in how my skin looks and behaves, my skin definitely looks and feels clean, pure, toned, even, fresh, and most of all bright. I apply it before my serum and after cleansing my face.
Gentle Facial Buffing Cream is a gentle exfoliating cream to remove dead skin cells and impurities. It is gentle enough to be suitable for all skin types. I have used many physical and chemical exfoliators but this one is a little different from all. This is something you apply and keep on for 2 minutes until it becomes a little dry to feel, then you gently start massaging with fingertips of one hand while supporting the skin with the other hand. After rinsing, the skin looks refined and the texture of the skin is improved. The skin is soft and smooth, the dead skin cells – flakiness, roughness is all gone. It has become my go-to product before masking, it just prepares the skin to absorb in the next product much better and in return, the results are better. I am hooked to this Gentle Facial Buffing Cream.
Overall, there is not a single product from these 3 new additions to my skincare cream that I would say I do not like or did not see any results – all the 3 have made my skin look and feel much better in terms of radiance, texture, and clarity. I am so glad to try these products from the Phyto-Blanc range as well as the Facial Buffing Cream – highly recommend all – not to forget the new Phyto-Blanc Pure Bright Activating Serum, Black Rose Eye Contour Fluid. Sisley Paris products are available at luxury retailers including Holt Renfrew, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom. It is also available at Sisley- Paris.ca.*Press samples
