Okay guys, as asked by many of you about what I bought from the spring Sephora sale and promotions, I have the roundup of my haul below. I have purchased some new products and some products are repurchases. I usually stock up on my favorite body care products and then I have my skincare favorites. For most of the other things, I have been avoiding to buy keeping in mind the number of products I have been testing and do not want to have their shelf life over before I get to use them. Few products I ordered last week during the Sephora VIB Rouge exclusive days and they reached me last Monday. Other things I went to the store to pick up. I have divided the post into four sections and due to the nature of the last minute post request, I have tried to click the pictures as clear as I could.

My Sephora Haul - April 2018

Skincare

For skincare, I am very choosy in my cleansers and have been wanting to try something specifically for my congestion and hormonal acne that flares up few times in a month and leaves those marks for many more months to come. I have used Kate Somerville Exfolikate cleanser and now bought the Kate Somerville Eradikate Cleanser along with the Kate Somerville Eradikate Solution. I opened these both products last week the same day I got it, I have been using them every day and like them both. I will review them in detail in my upcoming posts. Another cleanser I was eyeing since last few months was from La Mer, I bought the La Mer Cleansing Foam for the summers and I have high hopes for it. Perricone Md Nutritive cleanser is a repurchase, I really like it, never dries me out but makes my skin clean and fresh. Another product from Perricone Md I bought is the Perricone Md Chloro Plasma, it is everything you need for detoxifying, cleansing, anti-aging, and what not. I will keep you guys posted on how I like it. Tatcha Lip balm was also on the wishlist for a long time, finally splurged.

Bodycare

For Bodycare, there are mostly the repurchases. Loccitane has been my go-to brand for the body products for many years. I purchased my backups for Loccitane Shower Oil with Almond Oil, Loccitane Lavender Shower Gel, Verbena Body Lotion, Loccitane foot cream for dry skin, Loccitane hand cream for dry feet. Kopari coconut melt is a favorite of mine, for myself and also for my kids, it is so gentle and so hydrating. Fresh Brown Sugar Body polish is a repurchase for the coming season, I need all the exfoliation and glowing skin for the spring and summer dresses.

Haircare

For haircare, I have loved the Drybar The Chaser Shine Cream I purchased last year during the Sephora sale. I wanted to try more from the brand, so got this Drybar Hot Toddy heat and UV protectant for hair. Olaplex has been on all social media and magazines, I had to buy this one, as my hair needs some extra care as they are dull, damaged, falling and I am getting aged obviously. Bumble and Bumble tonic lotion have been in my stash since some time, wanted to buy the invisible oil but I suspect it would be heavy for my medium hair, so got this Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible OilHeatt/UV protecting primer.

Makeup

For makeup, I really controlled myself into not overspending as there are many products which I am testing and some which I purchased during the last sale and didn’t get a chance to use. I got my backup of the Tatcha Luminous dewy mist, Tatcha blotting papers, Beauty Blender. Bobbi Brown foundation stick is a cult favorite, so I wanted to try it since last year. Marc Jacobs Omega Bronzer I bought last year but I gifted it to a friend, so got one for myself now. I have not tried anything from Agave yet, so got the lip kit which has deluxe sizes of lip balm, lip scrub to try out the brand.

My Sephora Haul - April 2018

Two more things I bought are from Surratt Beauty which I am most excited for, the brushes. I did not click the picture as I opened them last week and they were in my brush case. I will click the pictures and post on my Instagram in this week. I will keep you guys posted on the products which I have not reviewed on the blog before, whether they are repurchases or first time buys.

I tried to give you a quick round-up of the products I purchased from Sephora this month. Did you buy something from the Sephora sale or are you planning to? Which products from my Sephora sale would you like to hear about first or want me to review first?

New launches from Bobbi Brown have always had high expectations and hopes as the brand has been a favorite of masses, of all ethnicities and colors. I remember, even when I was in India, Bobbi Brown was always adored for all the shades available in products and it used to be a favorite amongst my circle. I love Bobbi Brown products and have a quite few in my collection I bought in last decade or so. The new launch from Bobbi Brown which I am going to review in this post is Bobbi Brown Instant Full Cover Concealer which I have tested for over a week, wearing it almost every day last week to my work and during the weekend too.

Bobbi Brown Instant Full Cover Concealer

Bobbi Brown Instant Full Cover Concealer (CAD $38) is described to cover dark circles in one step—this concentrated, highly-pigmented concealer visibly brightens stubborn under eye darkness and softens hollows and tired lines in an instant (no sleep required). The wear time is 12-hours. I have the shades Beige and Warm Beige which I have swatched below. Warm Beige has been my go-to for last week, concealing my spots and to brighten mine under eyes. The applicator works well and makes the application easy.

I have used this concealer for my acne spots and pigmentation. I do not have dark circles but do like to brighten my under eye area when I did not get enough sleep due to work or kids and this has been tested for this purpose also. First, I make sure I have my skin moisturized properly, paying attention to my eye area. I apply this concealer with the doe foot applicator over the spots and under the eyes too.

The formula is very pigmented and the texture is very thick. Being thick in texture, it does blend well. I blend it either with my fingertip or with the same brush or beauty blender that I used for my base makeup and foundation. It has stayed on well for full day and even was good when I came back home till before bed when I wash my face. I did not notice cakey area or dryness on my acne spots or problem areas while using this concealer, it looked natural.

Top – Beige, Bottom – Warm Beige

I would like to mention one thing again here, if you have a nice base, means you care for your skin and keep it well moisturized and exfoliate it on regular basis, it does make a difference on the products you use. The coverage is full and staying is great. I would totally recommend this concealer to anyone looking for full coverage plus good staying power to conceal and cover problem areas, spots, pigmentation and dark circles.

Bobbi Brown Instant Full Cover Concealer is available at Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Canada, Sephora Canada, Hudsons Bay and is available in vast range of 15 shades.

*DISCLAIMER – The Bobbi Brown Instant Full Cover Concealers were sent to me for trial and review purposes, all views and opinions are 100% honest and based purely on my own experience. Other Bobbi Brown products in the pictures above were purchased by me.

I love serums, they are the most important part of the skincare regime. The serum does the actual work on the concern of your skin and they are available for most of the skin concerns, it may be dryness, flakiness, acne, discoloration, wrinkles, aging skin, that means anything concerning with skin. They come as supplement your skin needs depending upon the age, concern, and type of skin. When choosing a serum, I look and feel at my skin what my skin actually needs. At times, my skin may be dry and flaky, so I may choose a serum with hyaluronic acid. Other times, I may be having dullness or acne, then I will choose the serum with brightening effects or something with clearing acne ingredients. At a time, I have multiple serums on my shelf and I choose based on what my skin needs on daily basis. But to write a review, I always use a product for over 5 days in a week and for more than 6 weeks.

I bought this Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Supplement during the end of winter as my skin tends to be dry and flaky due to the weather change and the internal heating inside the house and office. Just for your reference, I have combination skin prone to hormonal breakouts/congestion. The packaging is very nice and chic, the glass bottle looks very beautiful even sitting on the vanity or the skincare shelf. The dropper in this serum is also nice with no issues. I have used this serum for more than two months during spring and summer, almost every morning after cleansing my skin and before applying the oil followed by moisturizer. Overall I have really liked this serum.

As per the Bobbi Brown Cosmetics website, “Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Supplement is a quick-absorbing, anti-aging serum that improves the skin’s appearance. An advanced, multi-benefit serum that improves skin’s appearance as it helps prevent the visible signs of aging including dark spots and fine, dry lines. White Birch Extract reduces the look of fine, dry lines, while Grape Extract helps clarify and brighten the complexion. After just four weeks’ use, skin looks firmer, smoother, more even-toned and radiant.”

I have definitely noticed my skin is brighter and radiant after using this serum for almost once every day preferably in the morning. It has a faint fruity smell which doesn’t bother me. I use half of the dropper which usually has 5-6 drops of this serum and then apply it on my face and neck avoiding the eye area. It dissipates fairly quickly and I am ready to go to my next step in the skincare regime. My skin feels brighter and firmer after using this serum. Makeup application when using this serum has no issues, no rolling off or anything.

In regards to using this serum only in the morning, I have no specific concerns but I use my night treatment serums and moisturizers during the night due to which I keep this one for the morning. This bottle is almost on the verge of getting empty and I will buy it again in future once I am finished with my hoard of serums. This is definitely a nice serum and I would recommend this for all skin types.

Have you tried this serum, What is your favorite serum?
