Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, a shiver of citrus and the sensual vibration of patchouli, is now available in a new variation called Chanel Coco Mademoiselle L’Eau Privée featuring an unprecedented, sophisticated, and confidential way to wear fragrance. Coco Mademoiselle L’Eau Privée is a light and delicate version of Coco Mademoiselle. It is a fragrance for night, yes truly, the same elegance with some sensuality that is perfect even for bed. It wears like a soft and hazy veil for the skin sheets.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle L’Eau Privée review

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle L’Eau Privée has become a part of my nightly ritual, I spray it on my skin, hair, and even my negligée. The composition of the fragrance is signed by Olivier Polge, Chanel in-house Perfumer-Creator. Olivier imagined the oriental scent like a watercolour. The wood is toned down to exalt the sparkling freshness of an orange, the softness of the floral accord woven with jasmine absolute and rose petals, and the musky facet around comfy white musk notes that nestle on the pillow. The focus is on the soft and endearing fragrant touch.

The bottle of the fragrance is elegantly cloaked in a translucent veil. The frosted glass gives a glimpse of the warm fragrance within. L’Eau Privée is written in gold lettering which gives a feel of sensuality.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle L’Eau Privée review

I am really enjoying Chanel Coco Mademoiselle L’Eau Privée in my nightly ritual before going to bed. I like the idea of a night perfume and a private way of wearing a perfume – something that is created for the nights and not night-outs. It envelopes the skin and creates a soft aura with its fresh veil of rose, jasmine, and musky notes. It is a soft, delicate, pleasant, and comforting scent. It stays close to my skin and lasts a while. It is an amazing addition to the Chanel Coco Mademoiselle line of fragrances.

I have been very much into eyeshadows lately and have been buying and testing a lot of them. From being naive of what and how of makeup to a starter at the moment, I am loving this texture and results I achieve when I use this eyeshadow. While buying, I was very confused amongst the shades available in Chanel Ombre Premiere Longwear Cream Eyeshadows and finally, after a lot of thoughts between 802 Undertone and 804 Scintillance, I bought this 804 Scintillance. This seemed to me that it will give me that dewy shiny eyelid that I am a fan of.

“A cream texture that becomes one with the eyelid and dresses up the eyes in vibrant, easy-to-blend color. A palette of shades offering a satiny, luminous and long-wearing result. The eyeshadow comes with a rounded brush applicator with very soft synthetic bristles, perfect for applying and blending color over the entire eyelid. A blend of oils adds softness to the texture for the easy, adjustable and melt-away application. A high concentration of ultra-pure pigments reveals intense and sophisticated shades. A formula rich in long-wearing ingredients for a dense and even result that lasts all day. Ophthalmologist tested, suitable for contact lens wearers.” from beauty boutique Canada.

This eyeshadow is packaged in a small clear glass jar with black heavy plastic lid with Chanel logo. The little eye shadow jar does look very cute. The shade of this eyeshadow is peachy/pinky beige with a metallic sheen. The formula is very buildable. With one swipe, it gives a semi opaque coverage and with two or three swipes it gives full coverage. I do prefer one swipe over my lids and I get that semi-opaque sheen which looks natural as well as very pretty on the eyes.

The formula is very soft and blendable. I did not notice any creasing on my eye sockets and this stayed on really well for over 11 hours. It may have stayed longer but I normally remove my makeup in few hours after I am back from work. This eye shadow can be used either with an eye shadow brush or with a finger tip, I use it both ways and it works well.

I am really in love with the formula and the sheen it provides, I am definitely going to look into more shades in this formula. This retails for CAD $40 excluding taxes.

I would like to tell you my thoughts and verdict before even I start talking about this eyeshadow quad, Chanel Les Ombres Multi-Effect Eyeshadow Quad in 278 Codes Subtils is one of my most favorite eyeshadow quads, whether it is the formula or the shades, I love everything about it.

I was never into eyeshadows since last year that I started looking into them and then what caught my eye in the magazines and social media the most was the shiny or sometimes wet kind of look on the eyes. This was something I wanted to have on my eyelids and I was sure it would look natural as well as beautiful on my lids. This is when I bought this Chanel Les Ombres Multi-Effect Eyeshadow Quad in 278 Codes Subtils. All the shades in this quad seemed to look very neutral yet buildable and something that would suit most of the skin tones and eye colors.

From the Chanel website,” A palette of four eyeshadows that features the most advanced innovation to enhance creativity. It’s optimized formula unites softness and easy application to express maximum color: consistent, luminous and even all day long. The shades come in a variety of effects: matte, satiny, iridescent or metallic.
A practical and portable black lacquered case with a large mirror. Result: The four eyeshadows blend endlessly to define natural, intense, sophisticated or smoky eyes.

I would also like to add the description about the formula from the official Chanel website,A formula that enhances color and makeup effects.

  • An exceptional concentration of long-lasting pure pigments for a wider range of effects and intensities
  • A manufacturing process for easy application and immediately intense coverage
  • A jellifying system and a blend of polymers and spherical powders for: a soft, creamy, glide-on texture, shades that blend together perfectly, an even makeup result”

The packaging of this eyeshadow quad is in the classic black like other Chanel products, the four shades housed in a beautiful round circle shaped containers inside the case. Starting from the top left, the shades are medium dark peach, medium golden brown, medium brown, blackish brown with forest green hints. All the colors can be applied alone on the eyelids or together to create a beautiful eye look. All the shades are nicely pigmented and very blendable. They formula has a soft and finely milled texture which makes it really easy to apply.

They give a very nice glowy opaque kind effect on the eyes when used with a light hand, and this is what I was looking for. To make a more intense look, the are very easily buildable, blendable and stay on well for over 8 hours. Just to let you know that I have oily eyelids and these work well for over 6 hours on my eyes without an eyeshadow primer. I do not have a particular way I apply these shades but depends on my mood and my creativity level that day.

This is a really great quad with all shades beautifully done and all of them work very well together. The only thing I am disappointed about for this palette is that it is a limited addition. Being so versatile and suited for most of the skin tones and eye colors, it should be a permanent addition to the Chanel makeup collection.

This eyeshadow quad retails for CAD $68 excluding taxes.
