Givenchy has launched two new unique highlighters, taking forward their complexion expertise and the latest technological advances with Givenchy Teint Couture Radiant Drop and Givenchy Teint Couture Shimmer Powder. With fluid and compact textures, they are both practical, beautiful, and must-have products this season, all thanks to Nicolas Degennes with the excellent work and creativity.

Givenchy Teint Couture Radiant Drop and Givenchy Teint Couture Shimmer powder

Givenchy Teint Couture Radiant Drop

Givenchy Teint Couture Radiant Drop is an illuminating base which gives a dewy finish, not limited to as a base but is a multi-use product to highlight, freshen the face, and illuminate it. The formula has light, pearly texture with very fine coated particles and pigments. The packaging is in a metallic bottle in the same shade as the product inside. the dual pipette precisely delivers the desired amount of product, while its brush tip enables the targeted application.

For a fresh, natural, and subtle effect, a few drops can be blended with a little day cream or foundation before applying to the face with fingers or with a brush.

For a targetted dewy effect, it can be applied after applying the foundation on the areas of the face that typically catches the light, like the high points of the face.

‘Using the brush, add touches to the inner corner of the eye then pat with the tip of your finger. This is perfect for highlighting the eyes. If you have dark circles, add a tiny drop under the eye and blend with the tips of your fingers.’, says Nicolas Degennes.

The Teint Couture Radiant Drop is available in two universal shades – a soft pink and a subtle gold to give the skin abundant radiance. I have swatched the shade Pink in the picture below.

Givenchy Teint Couture Shimmer Powder

Givenchy Teint Couture Shimmer Powder is a powder highlighter with a shimmering finish. It contains no talc and has no textured effect. It leaves a silky veil of extremely fine pearly powder and transparent illuminating pigments. The formula is buildable and gives a sparkling effect of variable intensity that catches the light. The black lacquered box of this limited edition powder has a compact gel with a raised motif inspired by Couture lace. The ‘zero texture’ formula lends itself to layering in order to redesign curves, blur imperfections, and provide the desired dose of radiance.

It can be applied on the face with a blusher brush or even a finger to blend it on the cheekbones. On the body, it can be used on the cleavage or top of shoulders to create a silky veil that blends with the nude skin.

‘For an ultra modern lined effect, take up a small quantity of product using a narrow brush and apply it on the edges of the lips, add lipstick than a last touch of highlighter to the central curve.’, says Nicolas Degennes.

Givenchy Teint Couture Radiant Drop and Givenchy Teint Couture Shimmer powder

Teint Couture Shimmer Powder is available in two radiant shades – Pink and gold, Pink suits fair skin tones for a translucent complexion while Gold adds a sunny radiance to the deeper complexions. I have swatched shade Pink in the picture below.

Givenchy Teint Couture Radiant Drop and Givenchy Teint Couture Shimmer powder

I have tested and swatched shade Pink for both Givenchy Teint Couture Radiant Drop and Givenchy Teint Couture Shimmer powder. At first, I thought these will not look natural or suit my medium tan skin tone but as I used them, they look very natural and do blend in nicely into the skin without looking too pinky or ashy on skin tone. The staying power is nice, stays on for a whole day. Intensity can be built as needed, I use minimal for everyday wear and go heavy handed for the night. But I am very much interested in checking out and comparing the Gold shade in both as they are more inclined towards deeper complexions. They both are worth checking out and as the holiday season is approaching, these are definitely going to add some extra shine and sparkle to your holidays and to your mood as they are adding to mine. Givenchy Teint Couture Radiant Drop and Givenchy Teint Couture Shimmer powder are available at Holt Renfrew and Sephora Canada.

The first daring fragrance from Givenchy called L’Interdit was created in 1957 was among the first fragrance creations from the house which was dedicated to actress Audrey Hepburn, the muse of the fashion designer and now in 2018, L’Interdit is created as a tribute to freedom. Givenchy has created a new L’Interdit fragrance inviting women to cross the line and discover the thrill of the forbidden, calling it ‘a new fearless classic’.

Givenchy L'Interdit Eau de Parfum

It is called a magnificent, fearless fragrance and devastatingly elegant, a new kind of femininity.

‘The intensity born of contrasts.

A forbidden blend of white flower and a dark accord

The shocking side of chic.’

Givenchy L’Interdit is created by master perfumers Domonique Ropion, Anne Flipo, and Fanny Bal. L’Interdit unveils a floral white bouquet of orange blossom, jasmine, and tuberose. In contrast, earthy dark tones emanate from the vetiver and patchouli.

Givenchy L'Interdit Eau de Parfum

‘L’Interdit serves as a catalyst, an enabler, a key to the door that opens into freedom. An empowering talisman on the road to experience and self-discovery. ‘

‘A white floral exalted with a dark accord. The first resolutely underground flower. The white notes – orange blossom, jasmine, and tuberose – are interlaced with darker more mysterious notes of vetiver and patchouli. A generous intense brightness that isn’t afraid of subversion. Unforgettable, intense, addictive, and fearlessly elegant. The shocking side of chic.’

The bottle design of Givenchy L’Interdit 2018 is a tribute to the original 1957 bottle, timeless and yet modern. It is strikingly sober, with a round squareness, a soft strength. At once simple, deeply feminine and soft in its invocation, it also has the elegance of being tied up with a sharp seal that binds the contrasting matte grosgrain bow and the shiny 4G logo. The box is black and white, bold, pure, and simple but inside, it is scarlet, daring, surprising, and carries the signature of Monsieur de Givenchy.

Givenchy L'Interdit Eau de Parfum

Givenchy L’Interdit is a very nice and interesting scent to me, white floral with very less sweetness. It is very well composed, combining classic femininity with freshness and sweetness. It is a classic, modernized tuberose fragrance which is beautifully creamy, smooth, long lasting, and not overpowering. The gourmand notes in it last for few minutes and then it is all bright, grown-up scent. This is perfect for day and night and for everyday wear. I have been wearing it to work every day since last week and really like this on me. Not overpowering and the lasting power is amazing.

Givenchy L’Interdit Eau de Parfum is available at Sephora Canada, Hudson’s Bay, Shoppers Drug Mart, and Holt Renfrew.

Givenchy Le Rouge Perfecto has been one of my top five lip balms aka maximizer aka pink enhancer since last few years. I did review it last year here.  Givenchy Le Rouge Perfecto is an ultra-moisturizing balm, a plumping, and color-boosting concentrate with a pink finish, the all-in-one Rouge Perfecto is available in three new customized shades this year in 2018.

Givenchy Le Rouge Perfecto

The three new shades include:

No 1 Perfect Pink – Original

No 2 Intense Pink – a pink for an ultra-intense result (new)

No 3 Sparkling Pink – a peach pink encrusted with silver pearlescent particles for a ‘party glow’ look (new)

No 4 Blue Pink – a plum pink sprinkled with pearlescent particles for a ‘disco-ball’ effect on the lips (new)

Givenchy Le Rouge Perfecto

The 3-in-1 Rouge Perfecto formula combines moisture, lip care, and natural color in one. It is an innovative complex that instantly plumps up lips while its melting texture with shea extract offers hydration and comfort. It works perfectly to repair and soften even the driest lips, like mine. The eosin contained in the formula reacts to the lips’ pH for a natural and customized effect.

Givenchy Le Rouge Perfecto

The packaging is perfection, sheathed in the same pink leather as the original Le Rouge Perfecto, along with metallic tube encapsulating the product. The new Rouge Perfecto shades are a great addition to create a fresh and natural look. It is easy to apply, keeps my lips moisturized, comfortable throughout the day, I do reapply after few hours though but overall, it really treats my dry and peeling lips making them look plump and pink. Another great thing is, it will look different on different people, means it reacts with the lips pH and imparts the color to lips based on the person’s respective pH value of lips. The sparkle in the new shades is not intense but very beautiful, you will be able to notice it and it looks so natural and beautiful, can be used as an everyday lip balm and lip tint with add-ons of plump and moisturized lips which look very youthful.

I would highly recommend you to check Givenchy Le Rouge Perfecto if you have not tried it yet. And if you are a fan of it like me, you need to check the new shades, they are gorgeous. Givenchy Le Rouge Perfecto is available at Sephora and Holt Renfrew.
