Shiseido Holiday 2019 Collection ‘Beauty Blossoms’ is launched to spread light, love, and beauty during the season of togetherness. Shiseido celebrates Hyakka-Ryouran that is a Japanese concept literally translates to “a riot of flowers,” but holds a larger meaning that captures the holiday spirit: When one person flourishes, everyone around them blooms. For this collection, Shiseido has collaborated with world-renowned artist Hideki Inaba, for the 2019 Holiday Season. Known for his colourful and innovative approach that celebrates fluidity and movement, he reimagined traditional florals to create a series of graphics, visuals, and films that are both modern and mesmerizing. The collection comprises of two limited edition launches – Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate is available in a limited edition packaging and ModernMatte Powder Lipstick Holiday Colours Mini Lip Bouquet.

Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate is not new to me, I have loved it since a long time – I had a detailed review last year on my blog here. At a time, I am trying many products which means there are only special products for which I hit the bottom – means I empty them – and this is one of those products – I am on my third bottle of it. Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate helps to boost the skin’s inner defences and prevent damage, allowing beauty to bloom from within.

From Shiseido Holiday 2018 collection, I reviewed the Shiseido ModernMatte Powder Lipstick Expressive Deluxe Mini Set – Ribbonesia Limited Edition here last year – it was one of the most beautiful lip set last year and so is this new one launched for 2019 – the shades, high pigmentation, creamy comfortable formula – and the new + regular shades – a lovely collection.

Overall, a beautiful holiday collection and both the limited edition launches are worth checking out. Shiseido Holiday 2019 Collection – Beauty Blossoms is available Sephora Canada, Hudson’s BayMuraleBeautyboutique by Shoppers Drug Mart.

Shiseido has amazing new launches this year and I am sharing two of the new launches from fall which not only look beautiful and bright packaging wise but also something I have been using for last few weeks, I am pointing to Shiseido’s Waso range that targets the Millenials – The new additions are Eye Opening Essence and Poreless Matte Primer.

New Shiseido Waso Eye Opening Essence and Poreless Matte Primer - review

WASO Poreless Matte Primer is an instant corrective primer inspired by Japanese wasabi, it helps minimize the appearance of pores and mattify shine. Just a small drop helps makeup stay put all day long. Fresh and rich in nutrition, the Wasabi-Inspired Complex in this primer brings out the best of your natural skin. Similar to wasabi, which draws out the flavour, this Poreless Matte Primer enhances the look of skin by making pores less visible, for beautifully matte skin that stays shine-free for hours. The formula hydrates skin at the same time does not make the skin feel dry. The skin is evened out on the surface of the skin while making pores less visible and soaks up extra sebum to allow the skin to be comfortably dry and free from shine, and ready for makeup. It did not break me out and is comfortable on this skin.

To use: Before putting on makeup, squeeze a small amount of the product onto a fingertip and thinly apply it to the T-zone and other parts of the face with visible pores and shine. To enhance its effectiveness, apply again over foundation by lightly patting it on.
For touch-ups, reapply by lightly patting it on without rubbing.

New Shiseido Waso Eye Opening Essence and Poreless Matte Primer - review

WASO Eye-Opening Essence is Momijioroshi-Inspired Complex for brighter under-eyes. Just a pinch of this beauty essence instantly defines and enhances the eye area, similar to the way momijioroshi brings out the flavour of a dish. This essence make the eyes look clearly defined and revitalized with essential vitamins, instantly addresses dark circles, dullness, and puffiness to quickly treat the area of the eyes prone to everyday strain. The beauty essence has a snow-like light fluffy texture inspired by Momijioroshi, with moisture-rich jelly droplets that impart a cooling sensation soon after application.

To use: Squeeze a small amount of the product onto a fingertip and apply to the eye area with a gentle, massaging touch
・Gentle yet effective formula for all skin types including sensitive.
・ Non-comedogenic, Dermatologically tested, Ophthalmologically tested, Oil-free, Paraben-free

Shiseido has always been a pioneer when it comes to innovation, research, and to understand and maintain the relationship between the brain, body, and skin. Shiseido has introduced ReNeura Technology which is a revolutionary innovation inspired by neuroscience, that means this technology activates the power of touch and awakens unresponsive skin by creating seamless connections between internal messaging systems which in turn makes the skin respond to skincare by fighting against the signs of ageing and generating the luminosity from within.

new Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Gel Cream, White Lucent Overnight Cream and Mask, and White Lucent Brightening Day Emulsion

Shiseido White Lucent range is inspired by Sakura, Japan’s iconic cherry blossoms. The range focusses on visibly creating luminous, even complexion. The newest addition to brand’s cult favourite brightening range contains the Sakura – Bright Complex which is a blend of potent ingredients that address dark spots.

Left – White Lucent Brightening Gel Cream, Right – White Lucent Overnight Cream and Mask

I have been using three products from the range – White Lucent Brightening Gel Cream, White Lucent Overnight Cream and Mask, and White Lucent Brightening Day Emulsion. The three products are all very lightweight, great even for summers, soaks into the skin nicely except the mask which is meant to be washed away. The White Lucent Brightening Gel Cream and Day Emulsion very well when used together or even alone after a Serum. The finish is radiant and dewy without any oiliness. They both work as a nice base for the makeup too. The Emulsion provides extra benefits of suncare without any white cast, one of the lightest sunscreens I have used. The products did not break me out. Now, coming to the White Lucent Overnight Cream and Mask which has kind of same texture, lightweight but a little richer than the gel cream. I apply a thick layer and then before going to bed, I massage the product which has not soaked into the skin. Or otherwise, I wash my face before bed and apply the White Lucent Brightening Gel Cream and my eye cream.

The White Lucent range is fragranced with notes of Sudachi (a Japanese citrus fruit), rose, jasmine, and magnolia. It is also blended with plumeria, that is proven to suppress melanin production. The packaging of the products – subtle pink and white ombre – is reminiscent of the cherry blossom’s unique rosy glow and is influenced by Keshiki, a term unique to Japanese ceramics that expresses how everything from glaze to clay colour plays out on the surface of a piece. The elegantly curved top is designed to mimic the continually swaying surface of the water, while the glass jar containing the gel cream and overnight mask were crafted inspired by Japanese tea bowls used in traditional tea ceremonies.
